Our take on the iSimple® JamLink CAR by Crutchfield's Dominic DeVito
Lightning-to-RCA connection and charging cable
The iSimple JamLink CAR lets you connect your iPhone®, iPod®, or iPad® with a Lightning connector to any factory or aftermarket car radio with RCA auxiliary inputs. You'll need to hardwire the cable's power and ground leads to provide charging capability. Once you've done that, you can charge and listen to your device through your car stereo simply by connecting the cable's Lightning connector to your device and its male stereo RCA connectors to your radio's RCA auxiliary inputs. You can enjoy your favorite music on the go and keep your newer Apple device charged as you drive.
Note: The JamLink CAR does not provide device control or information display through your car's receiver.

JamLink CAR: The JamLink Car provides connectivity for the Apple iPod, iPhone, or iPad (with Lightning-connector) to any factory or aftermarket audio system with an Aux input. You'll be able to listen to audio from stored music, music apps, and navigation apps on your compatible Apple device through your factory or aftermarket car stereo system; all while charging your device.
Connections: The JamLink Car is equipped with a 6' length Apple Lightning-connector cable to dock your Apple device with Lightning-connector. On the other end is an 18" stereo RCA cable which plugs into your factory or aftermarket radio's Aux input. Many factory and aftermarket radios only have a 3.5mm Aux input, which will require a RCA-to-minijack adapter (sold separately). There is also an 18" power/ground wire which needs to be hardwired to your vehicle's electrical system.
Note: Some factory and aftermarket radios do not come with an auxiliary input (make sure your head unit has an Aux input).
Audio Playback: The audio from the attached Apple Lightning connector device will pass through the JamLink Car into the radio's auxiliary audio input; select the Aux input on your radio. You'll be able to listen to audio from stored music, music apps, navigation apps, and other applications on your Apple device through your factory or aftermarket audio system.
2.4 Amp Charging: The JamLink Car will charge the battery of your Apple iPod nano (7th gen), iPod touch (5th gen), iPhone (5/5C/5S), or iPad (4/mini/air) while its connected and your vehicle's radio is turned on.

I don't carry a USA Spec cable that lets you connect an Apple device with the lightning connector. The cables are still built for a 30-pin Apple device and you would need to get the 30-pin to lightning adapter. However, this iSimple's RCA cables can connect to the RCA inputs on that PA15-TOY interface. They can work together! I cannot find that information anywhere; not even on their web site. You might give them a call on 866-788-4237 to see if there is any record of the DAC being used My Bio: http://www.crutchfield.com/Support/Bio.aspx?bio=101 [ Paul Aug 07, 2017 ] Staff
Yes, as long as the iPad has the right port (the current standard port), you should be fine. On a side note, Ram Mounts makes some cool stuff for mounting tablets and phones in cars. [ Aaron Sep 20, 2015 ]
