If you're serious about sound, but aren't willing to compromise on style, Sanus Steel Foundation® speaker stands were made for you! Combining form and function, each gorgeous stand has a contoured 10-gauge steel base plate with two 2" diameter pillars solidly supporting a steel top plate. Both pillars and top plate feature a handsome black powder-coated finish.

But these stands aren't just about good looks. The base plate's stable platform minimizes energy loss from your speaker, giving you better performance. The rounded pillars minimize diffraction, and can be filled with shot or sand for added mass. A resonance-damping ring placed between the top plate and the pillars further improves the speaker's sound.

The top plates are equipped with adjustable speaker isolation studs and neoprene isolation pads to dampen unwanted vibrations. The stands come with the Sanus Foundation Mount® system, so you can easily secure bolt-style speakers to the top plate.

Features

Compatibility: The Sanus Steel Series SF26 is a 26" stand for medium-to-large bookshelf speakers up to 35 lbs. The 6" (w) x 6.5" (d) top plate offers adjustable brass studs and neoprene pads for speaker alignment. Some speakers have a threaded insert in the bottom of the cabinet to accommodate bolt-mounting. These stands have a hole in the center of the top base and include a 5/8" bolt for securely attaching these bolt-mounted speakers to the stands.

Steel Construction: The Sanus Steel Series SF26 features heavy-duty 10-gauge steel construction. The extra-large steel base provides superior stability on practically any surface. The twin heavy-gauge steel pillars can be filled with sand or shot for added mass.

Resonance Damping Rings: The top plates and pillars are separated by self-adhesive cork resonance damping rings. These rings eliminate speaker resonance from passing through the stands causing distortion.

Wire Management: The steel pillars feature a concealed wire path to hide your speaker wire for a clean and neat installation.

Rubber Pads or Spikes: The stands feature plastic feet and have threaded inserts on the bottom that allow you to use the included isolation spikes or rubber feet. The isolation spikes are adjustable and designed for carpeted floors. The rubber pads are safe for hardwood, tile, laminate, and vinyl flooring. The spikes add 1" to the overall height of the speaker stands. The rubber pads add 0.25" to the overall height of the speaker stands.

Note: The isolation spikes are very sharp, and will scratch floors or furniture.

Customer Q&A

Q
I ve just got a set of KEF Q150 speakers. I am planning to buy the Sanus SF26 stands, as you recommend. Question: Can I set the speakers on the stand horizontally? If so, will that affect the speaker performance? I am asking because I am not sure if the vertical position will fit my space available. Thank you. -Carlos

A
Although it is somewhat unorthodox, it would be possible to place the Q150 on their sides on these stands. Thanks to their concentric tweeter/woofer design, there shouldn't be any noticeable effect on sound quality.

Q
Can you let me know if these stands will work well with either the Klipsch RP-500M II or Klipsch RP-600M II speakers?
david  Jan 21, 2023
1 answer
A
That Sanus stand could work with either of those Klipsch bookshelf speakers although the RP-500M II has a smaller footprint. The top plate of the stand has adjustable brass studs and neoprene pads which can help keep the speaker in place.

Q
Wire run? I own klipsch the fives lots of cords.power cord, right speaker cord, subwoofer plug all go to main speaker need to know how big is wire way on speaker stand ? thanks
alan  Aug 04, 2022

A
The wire way isn't enclosed. It is simply some ring guides that keep the wires close to the back leg of the stand to minimize appearance. Some better pictures of this can be seen in some of the customer reviews on the product page!

Q
Will these stands work with Klipsch RP 160 speakers? It seems the size of the speaker would be too large on top of the 6 inch baseplate. It looks like these stands are paired with those speakers on the cover of the late Holiday 2020 catalog. It just seems that it would not work, any help would be appreciated, I have the speakers and need some stands, thanks!

We do not have them on stands. I have them sitting directly up on a shelf. After looking at the base of the speaker, I don?t see any holes or places to attach to a 6" stand an the base is bigger than a 6" square, so unless Crutchfield advisors say you can drill into the base of the speaker and attach it firmly to the stand, I would say it could be a little precarious unless it is in a protected corner with no kids or critters that could knock it over.
george  Dec 07, 2020

Not familiar with your speakers but looking up their size/weight I note that they are slightly smaller/lighter than my KEF R300. These stands work quite well with my speakers. I've found it's not unusual for speakers to extend past the top plates on stands. These stands include pinned rubber pads that the speakers rest on so there isn't any direct contact. My speakers weigh over 25 pounds and these stands are very sturdy and support the weight with no problem. Speakers on stands aren't a good match for homes with small children and animals though.
donald  Dec 07, 2020
A
I would think that bases would be a bit tippy. I built my own stands for the speakers from wood. It's up to you.
larry  Dec 07, 2020
A
Virtually all bookshelf speakers have bottoms that are going to be too large for the plate on top of the speaker stands. That is why you have options of attaching the speakers to the plates with screws (which you can do, but I don't know anyone who has done that) or centering the speakers on the provided non-slip rubber mounts. They will not move no matter the power you have going through them. Knocking them over is another matter though.
kurt  Dec 07, 2020
A
The work perfectly. Those are the speakers I have on them and they rest nicely.
thomas  Dec 07, 2020

I have a pair of Monitor Audio Bronze 2's that are roughly 7.5" wide by 10" deep. As long as you keep them centered on the stands the 8.5" x 12" Klipsch's should fit well.

Q
How is the Concealed wire feature done ?
cecil  Apr 22, 2020

A
The wires aren't concealed inside. While not hidden inside you still cannot see them from the front. There are two circular guides you can install that stick out of the back of the top and bottom plates. You just run the wires through them to keep things tidy rather than through the inside like some other stands do.
chase  Apr 22, 2020
A
The stands do not really conceal the wire. There is a loop tab at the top of the stand and a loop tab at the bottom. You feed the wire through the loops and it helps keep the wire vertical with the stand. But you still see the wire. Hope this helps.
donald  Apr 22, 2020
A
There isn't any way to conceal the wire. There is just a plastic hook that can be positioned on the backside but won't conceal the wire one bit.
sonoka  Apr 22, 2020
A
Doesn't really have a wire concealment feature. There are 2 plastic loops that attach at the rear of the top plate and the rear of the pillar and your best hope is that the wires are concealed behind the rear pillar. Works fairly well for me.

Q
Will this stand work for Elac Debut 2.0 B6.2 speakers? Or what do you recommend?
robin  Oct 15, 2019

A
This stand will work for any bookshelf speaker as long as the tweeter is within +/- 10 inches of your sitting ear height.
kurt  Oct 15, 2019
A
Yes they will. I've had those Elac speakers on the stands. Also, used Klipsch RB35s, and Klipsch RB61 II on the stands with no issues.
kevin  Oct 15, 2019
A
I have no idea about that they work well with my Polk speakers. I would call an ask.
tom  Oct 15, 2019
Q
Will these stands work with Klipsch R-51pm speakers or is the top platform too small?
louis  Jul 28, 2019

A
Yes, these stands will work with no problems. Unless, of course, you plan on slam dancing into them. ;-)
