The dynamic sound of Klipsch Reference Premiere

We're used to hearing great things from our customers about Klipsch's signature sound. One technology that goes into that famous Klipsch sound is the horn-loaded driver. Flared openings in the speaker cabinet project sound waves toward your listening area, boosting dynamics and efficiency. The Reference Premiere speakers that make up this system's front, center, and surrounds all use a newly developed Hybrid Tractrix® horn design that delivers a wider sweet spot with more precise spatial imaging. They also use copper-colored Cerametallic™ woofers that deliver smooth, articulate sound, as well as lending your system a striking appearance when you take the grilles off.

Klipsch RP-440C center channel speaker

Klipsch's Cerametallic™ woofers, shown here on the center channel, deliver smooth sound and have a striking look.

Home theater thunder

Klipsch rounds out the package with their powerful Reference R-112SW, a powered sub featuring a 12" woofer and 300-watt amplifier. One Crutchfield customer sums it up nicely: "It has a nice musical sound when needed. Or an explosion effect can rattle the house." We couldn't have said it any better.

I have the same speakers powered by the RX-681 Amp. It can handle them (speakers) easily, no problem. [ joe  Aug 03, 2017 ]
Thanks for your question. For information on selecting the best receiver for your speakers I would recommend reaching out to an Advisor by phone (1-800-324-9695) or online chat. They will be able to help determine the differences between the receiver models and help you make the best choice for your system. [ Kenny  Nov 04, 2016 ]  Staff
Absolutely. The Onkyo offers up to 100 watts per channel which is well within the recommended range for these speakers. I hope that helps! My Bio: http://www.crutchfield.com/Support/Bio.aspx?bio=5 [ Ryan  Mar 14, 2016 ]  Staff
The Yamaha RX-A850 should work fine. It might be a tiny bit under powered, but the Klipsch system seems to be able to fill good sized room nicely without driving the receiver too hard. [ Layne  Mar 08, 2016 ]
I forwarded your question to an Advisor and they responded with the following: Based on the power handling capabilities of those speakers, I recommend going with a receiver that has around 100 watts of power per channel or more. One great option would be the Denon AVR-X3000 for example. If you would like to discuss further you can contact an Advisor directly by phone (1-800-324-9695) or online chat.
