I likely won't use these, but bought as a just-in-case. There are certainly cheaper options out there, but I like to have the complete "set" of items. We'll see if they come in handy for HDMI use. [ Kyle Dec 22, 2016 ]

Yes, but you may need to use the Samsung mini usb cable that came with your phone. The Note 4 worked with the pioneer cable, but the Note 7 and S7 Edge both required the Samsung cable to work. [ Gregor Jan 28, 2017 ]
OK only one Samsung is for the s3 I wonder if it work with s5 [ kenny Mar 17, 2015 ]
Hi william. I have a Samsung Note 3, when I bought my pioneer, after much research, I found the only place to get any of the adapters for hooking up my phone thru my new Pioneer, was at Samsung itself. I ordered it online and it was priced fair I thought, still using it today and works great. Hope that helps! [ DANIEL Mar 17, 2015 ]
I bought one from the Samsung section of local retailer [ Michael Mar 17, 2015 ]
6 answers I have a Samsung Galaxy S4. I dont see why this kit is usefull for $60. Help me understand. You need to use the SAmsung MHL adapter anyway so the one included in this kit is useless??? Why cant I just use the USB cable that came with my phone and ONLY buy the Samsung MHL? [ Andrew May 23, 2014 ]
The fact is this kit is useless to you, you will have to use the Samsung MHL connector so just buy that a USB extension and an HDMI cable. [ JACK Jun 02, 2014 ]
Yeah, you don't need the adapter that comes with the unit. You need an hdmi cable (included), a micro sd cord fir power (included), and the Samsung MHL that is a little rectangular box with hdmi in and micro sd in and out (out to phone....in from unit...for power). Good luck. Works well with the s4...more so than the s3. Kris Williams, Esq. CA. [ KRIS L May 27, 2014 ]
You can try it n if it works just return the adapter kit....I just bout it cause I don't have an mhl so I'm not sure dude [ DAVID May 25, 2014 ]
I'm sorry I haven't be able to get it to work. I really Have not messed with it. I have been putting it my remote start alarm. [ KEITH A May 25, 2014 ]
MHL is necessary for video mirroring. Data connection happens via Bluetooth. [ Anup May 24, 2014 ]
You do need the hdmi cable and usb to micro usb if you have an indash dvd player unless you have one sitting around and your radio has to have an hdmi input. This kit also has a micro usb to female hdmi cable. Some phones require the micro usb to usb cord for extra power and if I remember correctly your phone does need it. [ CHRISTOPHER M May 24, 2014 ]
I forwarded your question to an Advisor and they responded with the following: Shouldn't have a problem charging the Android phone as long as it's plugged into the back USB port. If you would like to discuss further you can contact an Advisor directly by phone (1-800-324-9695) or online chat. [ Krissy Mar 22, 2014 ] Staff
would this be compatible with my galaxy s3? and if so couldnt i just use my own phone cable? i already have the cable that was included with the radio. so wouldnt i just need my phone usb cable? [ Moose Mar 18, 2014 ]
This does look like it compatible with the Droid Razor Maxx. You can see a full list of compatible phones here: http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PUSA/Car/UnAssigned-Content/Android+Compatibility [ Jeff Feb 26, 2014 ] Staff
