The SoundTube SM31-EZ-T is a weather-resistant speaker that can be mounted indoors or out. It features a 3" full-range driver that makes sure customers hear music and important announcements. It's mounted on a swiveling joint that lets you aim the speaker where it can be most effective.
A built-in transformer tap lets you use one amplifier to drive several speakers in an efficient distributed audio system. Mounting hardware is included.

Features
Overview: The Soundtube SM31-EZ-T is a commercial 25/70/100 volt surface mount speaker featuring a 3" full-range driver mounted in a compact enclosure. Designed for both indoor and outdoor applications, the speaker features weatherized components in an unobtrusive and easy to install configuration, making it ideal for background and foreground music in restaurants, patio areas, retail stores, educational facilities, and more.
Driver and Enclosure: The SM31-EZ-T features a single 3" full-range driver, made with a polypropylene cone and butyl rubber surround, housed in Soundtube's proprietary ultra low-profile ZeroReflection ABS enclosure and featuring a corrosion-resistant powder-coated aluminum grill. Designed for indoor and outdoor use, the driver and enclosure are UL 1480, CE, and RoHS approved.
Multi-tap Transformer: The SM31-EZ-T includes a separate 10 watt multi-tap transformer, for 25-, 70-, or 100-volt installations, that's integrated into the included wall-mount plate. Tap settings are done on a rotary switch that's mounted behind the wall-plate and accessed through a small slot on the front panel. Tap settings include the following choices with no option for 8Ω bypass:
- 25 Volt: 0.1W, 0.2W, 0.4W, 0.7W, and 1.3W
- 70 Volt : 0.7W, 1.3W, 2.5W, 5W, and 10W
- 100 Volt: 1.3W, 2.5W, 5W, and 10W
Mounting Bracket: Mounting the SM31-EZ-T is done with the included wall-plate/transformer module. The wall-plate requires a single-gang, new construction junction box for mounting (not included) that must be at least 2.5" deep to accommodate the transformer. Note: The wall-plate will not fit inside retrofit-style junction boxes. Speaker wiring is run in-wall and attached to the back of the transformer on two set-screws. The speaker's integrated mounting arm screws to the wall-plate, making electrical contact through brass terminals on it and the wall-plate. The speaker's mount offers approximately 90˚ of tilt and can be rotated up to 359˚ once mounted to the wall-plate.
