Overview: The Boston Acoustics SoundWare speaker is a compact, high performance speaker that can be placed virtually anywhere. Its unique geometric shape gives you multiple mounting and placement options.
Tweeter: The SoundWare speaker is equipped with a 3/4" fabric tweeter. The tweeter is suspended over the woofer on a "bridge."
Woofer: The SoundWare has a 4-1/2" treated paper woofer with a rubber surround.
Enclosure: The speaker features an acoustic suspension enclosure.
Color Options: The SoundWare speaker comes in seven standard colors: black, bamboo, espresso, just red, silver, natural, and white. If one of the standard colors doesn't match your décor, the speaker and removable grille can be painted to any color you desire.
Indoor/Outdoor: The speaker is made of weather-resistant materials, so you can place it outdoors as well as indoors.
Placement Options: SoundWare's unique design allows you to place the speaker on a shelf or mount it on a wall. The supplied mounting hardware allows you to mount it flush or in a corner, and its pivoting mounting bracket lets you aim the sound where you want it. The speaker also includes a 1/4"-20 threaded insert for aftermarket wall-mount brackets or stands, and a tab for attaching a security device.
Mounting Hardware: Included with the speaker is an assortment of mounting hardware. Two metal keyhole-slot brackets are included; one for a flat wall and one for a corner. If you use a keyhole-slot bracket, you must attach the supplied pivoting ball mount to the speaker. The pivoting ball mount allows the speaker to pivot 20° in either direction and pivot down up to 40° when mounted to a flat wall. The corner mount bracket will not allow the speaker to pivot side-to-side. A set screw keeps the speaker from moving once it has been positioned.

Why did you buy this?
These speakers have been around for a long time . I have owned a pr. For 8 yrs. Now . They are mounted on my unenclosed front porch . The birds roost on them at night and build nests on them every year. Believe it or not they still sound like new with a rich full sound even at high volume [ chris Apr 11, 2018 ]
To hang on ceiling from home theatre center speakers. Not to many to choose from that are small and powerful. All other speakers are klipcsh [ SCOTT Nov 09, 2017 ]
Seem to get good reviews in the several sites I checked. Looks like a decent compromise between frequency response and size. [ Nathan Jul 25, 2016 ]
The reviews I read about them [ ERIK May 25, 2016 ]
Great size, shape, style, and design. Hoping they sound as good as speakers in the BA Solo radio (discontinued, but amazing piece of technology). I need something small and have no room for my older BA tower speakers anymore. [ James May 13, 2016 ]
Right combination of size, price, good reviews and comes with mounting brackets [ Sharon Feb 14, 2016 ]

I like these speakers. I bought 4 to pair with 2 Polk floor standing speakers. I love the range they have for a 7.1 surround system. I don't think you could go wrong with this versatile speaker. [ Jamaine Jan 14, 2017 ]
Although the sound sent to your speakers may be of less quality you can't buy a better speaker to maximize whatever sound quality you do have. I have 3 pair of these now and highly recommend them [ william d. Jan 13, 2017 ]
Yes. The speakers come with mounts. You can either place the speakers in a corner or on a flat wall. 2 separate mounts are included for each speaker. Hope this helps enjoy you speakers. [ roque Dec 16, 2015 ]
It does come with a wall mount. It's actually pretty nice too. It's a ball joint mount with a tightening screw, so you can place the speaker at a variety of angles rather easily. [ Eric Dec 10, 2015 ]
i gave this as a gift, so I really don't have an answer for you, sorry. [ John Dec 10, 2015 ]
I bought four of them. They come with a wall mount and a corner mount. The wall mount permits plus or minus 20 degrees of side-to-side movement. The corner mount permits a forty degree tilt down. The only thing not included are the screws or anchors which go into the wall. They speakers also sound good for the price. [ JOHN C Dec 09, 2015 ]
It has been awhile, but if I remember correctly it did come with wall mounts/brackets that I used to hang in the corner of my girlfriend's outdoor porch. I think it may have also come with flush mounts. They discuss mounting on the BA website for these speakers if you go there. [ Turn Dec 09, 2015 ]
yes it has a very good mount [ Olin Dec 09, 2015 ]
Yes it comes with a mount. [ Michael Dec 09, 2015 ]
Crutchfield asked me, as a customer, to answer your question. I'm 64. I have not been asked to do this before, but here goes. If the CD player is not equipped with Bluetooth, then it will need an output jack, which is a place to plug in speakers. Of course you will have to run the speaker wires from the CD player to the speakers. As an alternative for years I have been using a Bose Wave Radio, which has an auxiliary jack. You can run a wire from the output jack on the CD player to the input (auxiliary) jack on the Bose and play music through the Bose, which sounds great. Good luck. [ JOHN Apr 07, 2015 ]
It will work just fine. They require wiring to connect then to your CD player. Most areas require shielded cable wire for fire regulations. I have installed these speakers in an Elks club and everyone is happy. [ Olin Apr 07, 2015 ]
There isn't a specific operating temperature range listed in the product research and/or owner's manual. For more info on that you, you may want to contact Boston Acoustic's support directly; you can also visit their support website at http://www.bostonacoustics.com/US/Support/Pages/SupportLanding.aspx Hope that helps! 5 answers I like this speaker and may buy it, but need to know if there is a on and off switch on it. I plan to mount if up by the ceiling and need to know if there is an on and off switch. Does it have or need an on and off switch? I didn't see if there was one in the information provided. Thanks, Denny [ Dennis Dec 16, 2013 ]
No,there is no switch. We use eight of these as ceiling speakers in our church sanctuary. They are driven by four amplifiers, each controlling two speakers. Nice uniform sound throughout the space. HRM [ HINRICH R Dec 16, 2013 ]
no on-off switch. typically controlling speaker is done by using a-b speaker buttons on the receiver. [ NATHAN Dec 16, 2013 ]
There is no on/off switch. You could easily add one though. [ skangirl Dec 16, 2013 ]
Dennis, There is NO on and off switch on the speakers. If you have any more questions, please let me know. Thanks, Efrain [ EFRAIN Dec 16, 2013 ]
No there is no on/off switch. [ ANIT Dec 16, 2013 ]
