Treat yourself to warm sound with Denon's DP-300F turntable. Its precision die-cast aluminum platter ensures stable rotation for rock-solid playback. The tonearm features adjustable balance and anti-skating controls for proper tracking. And its sturdy base minimizes the vibrations that can compromise sound quality.

Automatic playback with manual control

Fully automatic operation makes the DP-300F easy to use. With the touch of a button, the tonearm swings over and begins playing your record, returning to its original position when finished. The manual lifter mechanism lets you accurately place the stylus on the record wherever you want without scratching.

Switchable phono preamp for hookup flexibility

DP-300F features a built-in phono preamp that lets you connect the turntable to an ordinary auxiliary input on your receiver or audio system. But if your receiver has a dedicated phono input, and you'd prefer to use it, you can switch off the preamp.

Controls and Dimensions

Overview: The DP-300F is a fully automatic turntable that is powered by a DC servo motor with a belt drive system. The turntable is designed to work with dedicated phono inputs and standard line level inputs, so it can be used with almost any receiver or preamp.

Heavy Base Construction: The heavy base construction improves performance by reducing the amount of vibration transmitted through the turntable.

Removable Tonearm Headshell: A removable headshell makes cartridge replacement simple. Allows for any standard mount cartridge between 5 to 10 grams to be mounted and balanced.

Automatic Startup: The automatic startup feature allows the turntable to begin play with the touch of a button. Once play has been completed, the tonearm will return to the armrest, so the stylus and record are not damaged or scratched.

Rigid Diecast Aluminum Turntable: The diecast aluminum platter produces uniform rotation for smooth flutter free operation.

Manual Operation: The turntable includes a manual lifter mechanism that allows you to place the needle on the record wherever you want.

Built-in RIAA Phono Equalizer Preamp: The built-in phono equalizer preamp allows you to connect the turntable to an integrated amp or receiver that does not have a dedicated phono input. This is a feature that can be turned off when using a receiver with a phono input.

Note: The equalizer switch is set to the "ON" position from the factory.

33-1/3 and 45 RPM Compatible: The turntable will play at 33-1/3 and 45 rpm speeds. An adapter is included for playing 45 rpm records.

MM Cartridge Included: The DP-300F comes with a MM (Moving Magnet) cartridge, so you can  begin to enjoy your record collection as soon as you take it out of the box.

Attached Output Cables: The turntable has a hardwired output cable with left and right male RCA plugs. These can plug directly into your receiver or amplifier. There is no need for additional patch cables.

I have a Denon DP-23F which I have had for 25 years that has started to give me trouble. It has always given me great sound. This unit has been well reviewed and seems to maintain same quality. Also has the start button on the front. I have my turntable on a slide out shelf in my cabinet. I am able to place album on turntable, slide in shelf, then start play. [ Philip  May 26, 2016 ]

Bought my daughter the entry level Denon table 7 years ago. Still working perfectly and is a workhorse in her stereo. [ D  Jan 18, 2016 ]
Gift for a younger audio enthusiast getting into vinyl for the first time. Agonized over which to get, a manual or auto turntable and figured the safer bet was a nice quality auto for their first turntable. [ Rob  Dec 23, 2015 ]
Had one before and liked it. [ Susan  Dec 19, 2015 ]
After chatting with Ann, a Crutchfield advisor, the DP-300F seemed to be a good fit for me , and for the money, a good choice. [ Michael  Dec 18, 2015 ]
Great reviews. Solid brand name and reputation. Additionally, this turntable has a built in phono pre-amp and can be hooked up directly to powered audio speakers such as the Audioengine powered speakers. This allows a turntable to be used with speakers only for a wonderful sound and creates a small footprint for an apartment or a dorm room. [ mark  Dec 11, 2015 ]

The cable from the back of the turntable to the end of the RCA jacks is 42" or 3 feet 6 inches. Hope that helps you out... happy vinyl listening to you. I've been well satisfied with this model from Denon. [ Stephen  Nov 28, 2017 ]

can i use this with Sonos [ Richard  May 07, 2018 ]
I haven't had to replace, but I did need to readjust it shortly after I started using the turntable as I noticed a slight drag in the sound. You have to pull the turntable off, but it wasn't easy for me to figure out exactly how to align things to do it. I suggest calling the fabulous tech support at Crutchfield. They walked me through the process over the phone, including by camera to see what I was looking at. Also, you'll need a piece of ribbon to pull it in place. [ Anne  Jul 09, 2017 ]
I'm not an electrician but I've got some electrician-type experience. Does the two prong plug have one prong bigger than the other? If so, one is hot and the other is return, and the return should be attached to ground at the panel. I agree that it'd be more straightforward if all equipment had a 3rd prong for ground, but for whatever reason a lot of stuff uses the two-size prong method, which will only plug into an outlet one way. I have drills, etc. with two prongs. [ GARY W  Jan 30, 2017 ]
Belt drive gives great isolation, power supply also isolated. [ DALE  Jan 26, 2017 ]
The Denon DL -110 is an excellent upgrade for this turntable. The stock cartridge is pretty good, I thought it sounded as good as the Sumiko Pearl. The Denon DL -110 is superior, and after about 10 hours of break in the 110 gets very dynamic. Great distinct, not mushy bass, smooth sounds across all of the mid range, no blurring, or blariness, good separation and imaging creating an impressive soundstage, so you can hear the different instruments more distinctly. The DL-110 can be easily mounted, and works with all MM phono inputs. [ jon west  Feb 26, 2017 ]
I upgraded after a year to the Sumiko Pearl. I was pleasantly surprised by the improvement in the sound quality. [ Paul  Aug 01, 2016 ]
The base is very minimal in size in relation to the entire machine, and is plastic, but so structured that it provides a firmness and stability exceeding what one would expect from metal construction. There is never the slightest tremor in play, and the sound surpasses anything I have heard in any audio source, and I have been listening to music for over 60 years. The turntable is astounding, and I could not recommend it too highly. [ Donald  Apr 04, 2016 ]
Basically advertising jargon for heavyweight and well made. Base is metal. Had this unit since 2014 and no issues at all with it. [ JOSH  Apr 01, 2016 ]
I'm pretty sure the base is plastic, but it's very solid and well built, The finish is a shiny black and I find it to be very pleasing in appearance. The unit is fairly heavy and does not slide around without an intentional effort. [ Bryant L.  Apr 01, 2016 ]
So, I just lifted it up to look at and judge weight...entire bottom is encased in (smooth) plastic but the overall heft suggests that the plastic encases a metal base....hope that helps [ John  Apr 01, 2016 ]
The answers here are not really precise-they might confuse some people. The preamp switch is underneath the PLATTER...not the "turntable." The turntable is the entire unit itself. The platter is the large metal disc that accommodates the record and 'turns' (rotates). Most people will know this, but newbies might be searching for the switch under the base of the table. Also, more often than not, any decent outboard preamp will sound better than an internal one. The best one for the money is the Pro-ject Tube Box S; you will get lush, rich sound. I would only do this with an upgraded cartridge (2M Red or better) so that you maximize the quality of sound coming from your records. it might seem weird to buy a preamp that costs more than your table, but you can always upgrade your table and keep this preamp. This preamp will even sound good with tables costing thousands of dollars...NO...I don't work for Pro-ject. [ TanMan  Nov 25, 2016 ]
William, Underneath the turntable is a switch which allows you to choose either phono or aux. Just lift the turntable minding the belt drive. Good luck, Mike [ Michael  Aug 16, 2015 ]
The switch is located on the bottom of the unit. [ GUS J  Aug 15, 2015 ]
I use mine on the phono input with no issues. [ LOU  Aug 14, 2015 ]
phono input works fine. pre-amp switch is interior, under the turntable. [ Kari  Aug 14, 2015 ]
China [ GENE  Dec 31, 2014 ]
I have no idea where it's made but I will say that the turntable fits my needs perfectly and I am very pleased. [ DUANE R  Dec 26, 2014 ]
Look around, you will find it, or you will get to listen to some hum till it is grounded to the pre. [ JAMES P  Sep 01, 2014 ]
Really? How can you be sure? Thanks for the info! [ BJH1014  Aug 28, 2014 ]
Actually, it does - through the RCA connector. That said, I haven't noticed any issues. [ J  Aug 28, 2014 ]
Hi Vicente. We only carry the US spec power version of this turntable. I'm sure if you reach out to Denon they will be able to help you track down a dealer for the European spec. [ Jeff  Feb 27, 2014 ]  Staff
