Our take on the Grado GR10e by Crutchfield's Jeff Miller
Take Grado's legendary sound everywhere
Grado has spent the last six decades in south Brooklyn, building headphones that are cherished by music lovers. The GR10e earbuds deliver top-flight Grado sound anywhere you go. The company's flagship in-ear headphones use an improved design to extend the high and low frequencies while reducing distortion. With their low impedance rating, you can plug them right into your phone or portable music player and get plenty of volume. Securely nestle the earbuds in your ear and block out ambient noise. You'll hear rich, lifelike music with sparkling detail and tight bass.
Lightweight design with better sound
The GR10e headphones are extra light. You can comfortably listen to them for long stretches at home, work, or on the go. Grado uses a single moving armature driver, making the earbuds super-compact. This single-driver design eliminates any crossover issues, so music sounds open and natural.

Overview: The Grado GR10e is an upgraded version of their popular GR10 in-ear headphones. The GR10e features new materials and a higher measure of design precision to provide more extension into the low and high frequencies, and to reduce distortion. These small earbuds are placed well within the ear canal to give you an excellent air seal to block ambient noise and improve bass response. The GR10e has a 53" cable with a straight gold-plated 3.5mm plug. Three sizes of silicone ear tips ensure you will get a proper fit.
Moving Armature Design: Like its predecessor, the GR10e has a proprietary moving armature driver design that retains the signature Grado sound. These drivers produce sounds over a wide bandwidth with smooth highs, clear vocals, and accurate bass. The left earbud contains a tactile dot on the rear so you can keep the left and right channels straight. Each ear bud has a 3/16" diameter, ear wax proof cloth filter to cover the drivers, held in place by a small plastic ring. Two extra pairs of cloth filters and two additional rings are included with the GR10e.
Ear Tips: The Grado GR10e comes with three pairs of ear tips, made of a proprietary blend of two silicones for ultimate comfort and maximum wearability. The ear tips come in small, medium, and large, allowing you to find a size that gives you the best seal to reduce the noise around you.

Why did you buy this?
I owned the GR8s for a number of years and the sound was fantastic. I expect the GR10e will best the GR8. Moreover, Grado is an American company. [ M Jun 18, 2017 ]
I have the GR8e and it has killed everything else I've compared it to. Knowing Grado I figure these are even better. [ fred Mar 11, 2017 ]
I chose GR10s based on Grado's reputation and the reviews on the sound imaging. [ SCOTT R Jun 01, 2016 ]
