Bose® Acoustimass® 300 wireless bass module
Our take on the Bose® Acoustimass® 300 wireless bass module by Crutchfield's Jeff Miller
The best Bose Acoustimass® bass module yet
The Bose Acoustimass® 300 sports an elegant glass top panel, but can produce high-energy bass when needed.
You'll find a wireless Acoustimass® bass module at the heart of many Bose surround sound systems. And the Acoustimass 300 is designed for use specifically with the Bose SoundTouch® 300 soundbar and it delivers the most tightly controlled, powerful bass of any Acoustimass® module yet. And it looks pretty good doing it, featuring an elegant design with a glass top panel. And because it's wireless, it can be neatly tucked wherever there's an outlet nearby.
Your room helps shape the sound
Make sure you run the SoundTouch® 300's ADAPTIQ® room calibration system after you connect the Acoustimass® 300. It intelligently adjusts the bass for your specific room. This ensures you'll get deep low frequencies that fill out your home theater experience — rather than overwhelming it.
And for complete wraparound sound, Bose also offers the Virtually Invisible® 300 surround speakers.

Bose® Acoustimass® 300 wireless bass module Reviews
Average Customer Review(s):
Thanks for submitting your review
Acoustimass 300: Designed exclusively to wirelessly pair with the Bose SoundTouch 300 soundbar (018ST300; sold separately), the Acoustimass 300 wireless powered subwoofer provides dynamic bass response for your movie and music soundtracks. To wirelessly pair the surround speakers to a SoundTouch 300 soundbar, you will need to place the soundbar into pairing mode using its remote control. Once paired, the bass module emits a tone.
Dynamic Bass Performance: This newly designed Acoustimass bass module delivers a dynamic range of bass from a powerful 10" driver and generously sized port with QuietPort technology that virtually eliminates distortion.
Mounting & Placement Options: The Acoustimass 300 wireless powered sub is intended for use in the same room as the SoundTouch 300 soundbar and has a range of approximately 30'. For best sound quality, the Acoustimass 300 should be placed on the floor against the same wall as the television and soundbar, with an electrical outlet nearby for the power cord. The powered sub should not be placed on a shelf or table.
Note: To avoid wireless interference, keep other wireless equipment 1-3' away from the system. Place the system outside of and away from metal cabinets, other audio/video components and direct heat sources.
ADAPTiQ Audio Calibration: After connecting the Acoustimass 300 to the SoundTouch 300 soundbar, run ADAPTiQ audio calibration for the best acoustic performance. ADAPTiQ customizes the sound of the system to the acoustics of your listening area by taking five audio measurements. To run an audio calibration, you need 10 minutes when the room is quiet.
Note: During ADAPTiQ, a microphone on the top of the ADAPTiQ headset (provided with the SoundTouch 300 soundbar) measures the sound characteristics of your room to determine optimal sound quality.
Bass Setting: You can adjust the Acoustimass 300's bass level using the SoundTouch app on your compatible Apple iOS/Android device or the remote control included with the SoundTouch 300 soundbar.
Minijack Input: If your prefer a wired connection, the Acoustimass 300 bass module and the SoundTouch 300 soundbar can be hardwired together using a standard minijack audio cable (sold separately).
Mono-RCA Input (future firmware update required): There is a mono-RCA input that allows the Acoustimass 300 bass module to be connected to any AV receiver's LFE output. This input will require a future firmware update which is not yet available (no ETA).
AC Power: The Acoustimass 300 wireless powered sub will require AC power. You will need to connect its detachable 5' AC power cord to an AC outlet.

I was advised that my Klipsch sub-woofer would be compatible with my new Bose soundbar...it was not....and who, in their right mind, could go through life listening to movies and music with no sub woofer??? So I bought it.....really didn't want to, but had no choice. [ William May 30, 2017 ]

Goes with the Bose 300 soundbar... My home theater room requires wireless surround with small pocket surround satelites. KEF wireless setup died and is discontinued. Giving Bose a shot. [ K Mar 04, 2017 ]
I have the Soundtouch 300 Sound Bar so it was not difficult to know which Subwoofer to add to my system. I may later add the two invisible speakers to complete the 5.1 surround setup. The Crutchffield and Amazon reviews for the Subwoofer have been very complimentary but the Surround Speakers do not get very high remarks. Hopefully their recent firmware update will fix this problem. [ RONALD Mar 03, 2017 ]
This blows my mind after hearing it. [ Ji Rong Feb 28, 2017 ]

1 answer Before buying, I would appreciate honest value opinion please. I have bought lifestyle 600 by Bose. Before this was only compatible with sound-touch bar only. Now on the lifestyle systems you can upgrade another bass module like the Bose My concerns are the Bass increments for Bose 300 bass module. I see that in order to increase or decrease bass to your setting is through soundbar by Bose. I ask is there more than one way because I am not planning to use soundbar just extra bass module for these unless there is more than one way? Please let me know maybe I haven't got all that research here with manual and set-up from lifestyle system. I hope this was helpful. [ Rene Mar 11, 2018 ]
The OPTIONS menu system in the Lifestyle 600 should have a bass level adjustment to help. I also see information stating you can adjust the bass level from within their SoundTouch app. HTH! My Bio: http://www.crutchfield.com/Support/Bio.aspx?bio=101 [ Paul Apr 02, 2018 ] Staff
I only have the one paired with the soundbar and rear satellites [ Kevin Jul 11, 2017 ]
Bose products rarely (if ever) include specifications for the frequency response. Additionally, the info we have on the Acoustimass 300 states that it was designed for use *specifically* with the Bose SoundTouch 300 soundbar; so I wouldn't count on future compatibility with third party A/V receivers. As far as I know yes. They're made for each other and sound awesome!!! Worth the money if you have 1600 buy the small surround speakers to go with it to complete he total system. We love ours hooked up to the oled. [ Kevin Dec 21, 2016 ]
Yes. I also have an Acoustimass module for a Soundtouch 120 and I was told by a Bose technician that the 120 Acoustimass will not work with the Soundtouch 300 soundbar using a Bluetooth connection. [ TRAVIS Dec 21, 2016 ]
Yes it is a 10" and it really kicks ass! [ PAUL J Dec 19, 2017 ]
