Product Research
Features
Overview: The Fujifilm VG-XT3 is a Vertical Battery Grip that serves a dual purpose. The grip provides a shutter release button and many other controls to greatly improve functionality when shooting in the portrait (vertical) orientation. It also has a battery tray that holds two rechargeable batteries (in addition to the one in the camera), effectively tripling the battery life between charges (from 390 shots to 1100 shots). The VG-XT3 is compatible with the Fujifilm X-T3 Mirrorless Digital Camera, and includes a 9-volt AC power adapter for charging the batteries.
Battery Tray: The VG-XT3 holds two NP-W126S batteries, increasing the number of photos you can take, and the number and length of movies you can record with the X-T3. With three batteries in the camera, the camera will display the level of each battery individually. The camera will use the left battery in the VG-XT3 until no charge remains, followed by the right battery, and finally by the battery in the camera.
AC Power Adapter: Included with the VG-XT3 is the AC-9VS AC power adapter, with a DC output of 9V / 2A. The AC-9VS plugs into the side of the grip for charging the batteries, or for supplying power to the camera. The batteries charge simultaneously in about two hours, but will not charge while the camera is turned on. Two small LEDs on the grip indicate the status on each of the batteries (On: charging; Off: charging complete; Flashing: charging fault).
Vertical Shooting: The VG-XT3 attaches to the bottom of the X-T3 camera, with a locking screw that fits into the camera's 1/4" tripod socket. The grip's multi-pin camera connector plugs directly into the camera. When you rotate the camera from the landscape (horizontal) to the portrait (vertical) shooting orientation, the VG-XT3 provides an ergonomic and comfortable grip for taking pictures. The grip gives you easy access to the following controls: Shutter release button, Q (quick menu) button, Fn (function 1) button, Control lock, Front Command Dial, Rear Command Dial, AE-L (auto exposure lock) button, AF-L (auto focus lock) button, Focus stick, Performance selector, and Indicator lamps. All of the controls perform the same function as the matching controls on the camera.
