    Features

Overview: The OEM (Original Entertainment Media) SNAV-1 Hide-Away Navigation Unit is designed to connect to select Original Entertainment Media headunits that are navigation-ready. The SNAV-1 Add-on navigation module features maps of US and Canada with over 11.4 million points of interest on an inserted 2GB SD.

Note: Car navigation maps are frequently updated. While the database was judged to as accurate as possible at the time of its release, a map data base can never be 100% accurate. Road information that is maintained in the map databases, such as turn restrictions or road names may change over time.

NavMate Navigation Software: The SNAV-1's NavMate Navigation software provides turn-by-turn visual and voice route guidance while traveling to your destination through a connected compatible OEM headunit. The software quickly calculates step-by-step directions to any destination available on the included navigation map.

GPS (Global Positioning System): The unit's NavMate software used Global Positioning System (GPS satellites, and a digital roadway map database to calculate and display travel directions on your connected Original Entertainment Media headunit.

The GPS antenna is equipped with a 16' cable to route from the SNAV-1 to the exterior of your vehicle.

Vehicle Positioning: The NavMate software's computer considers vehicle speed and heading changes, together with longitude and latitude information to accurately determine vehicle heading and position on a digital map. Signals from GPS satellites are used to determine the vehicle locations. Three (good) or four (best) satellites must be received to accurately determine your location. The GPS reception status in indicated by the GPS symbol on the unit's on-screen map which will display on your connected OEM nav-ready headunit.
