Our take on the Hoya NXT Circular Polarizer Filter by Crutchfield's Woody Sherman
If you've worn a modern pair of sunglasses, you're familiar with this effect. A circular polarizer filter reduces overall glare and reflection from non-metallic surfaces like water and glass. The effect deepens sky colors and increases contrast in outdoor shots, and can improve the look of vegetation in landscape shots. Colors appear more saturated, but the overall color balance of your shots remains unaffected.

Overview: The Hoya NXT Circular Polarizing Filter (CIR-PL) removes unwanted reflections from non-metallic surfaces such as water, glass, etc. It does this by selecting which light rays enter the camera's lens. The filter also increases color saturation, bringing better clarity and contrast, while leaving the overall color balance unaffected. The CIR-PL filter allows over 97% light transmission, and is made of heat-resistant, high-transparency optical glass. The slim frame is made of high quality machined aluminum that will hold up to years of use.
