A sound choice
What do you look for in a set of on-the-go over-ear headphones? If you don't need a lot of bells and whistles, and really just need something that feels nice and sounds good — consider the Sennheiser HD 569 closed-backs. When I spoke to Sennheiser's legendary headphone designer Axel Grell, he told me that the company uses their super-premium models to inform the design of all of their headphones. So when you connect these HD 569 headphones to your phone (or better yet, a portable headphone amp like the Audioquest Dragonfly v1.5 black), you'll enjoy that signature Sennheiser sound — wide soundstage, detailed mids, smooth highs. Also, the generous earpads make a nice, comfortable seal, so sound doesn't leak out, and bass gets extra emphasis.

Interchangeable Cables: The versatile HD 569 comes with two cables. The high-quality 10' cable has a full-size 1/4" (6.3mm) plug, designed for plugging into your home stereo equipment. You can also use the headphones in the recording studio for mixing or monitoring live performances. The shorter, 51" (1.2m) cable has a 3.5mm plug and an in-line remote/microphone to let you control music and make calls on your smartphone or other portable device. The 1-button remote is compatible with both Android and iOS devices. The single button lets you play/pause your music and skip to the next track, plus accept or reject incoming phone calls.
