Features
Overview: The Audiovox CAMSBAR Parking Sensor/Rear Observation System is designed to assist the driver by providing a clear and wide image of the area behind the vehicle whenever the vehicle is shifted into reverse. In addition, the system will alert you to obstructions that could not normally be seen in your blind zone. The package includes a heavy duty chrome bar with a wide-angle CMOS camera and 2 ultra-sonic sensors which can be mounted above, below, or on the license plate, or on the bumper. Mounting brackets and hardware are included.
Camera/Sensor Bar: The CAMSBAR has an IP68 tested and certified waterproof, dustproof housing with a heavy duty chrome plating for durability. When you shift the vehicle into reverse, the color monitor will activate and show you the 110° field of view from the camera in the rear of the vehicle. The sensors send out an ultra-sonic signal that detects obstructions behind your vehicle for an average of 6 feet. If an object is located, the system sound a buzzer. As your vehicle approaches the object, it will beep faster, and, if you are very close to the object, it will sound continuously warning you to stop.
Monitor: The monitor has a 2.5" LCD color display with LED backlighting. It has an adjustable base, which can attached to the dash or windshield by the supplied dual-sided tape. Monitor dimensions: W=3.199", H=3.07", D=1.574"
Installation Recommendations: The CAMSBAR must be placed where the sensors can clearly detect objects behind the vehicle. The best height is between 18" and 30" above the ground. The power/ground wires should be connected to the vehicle's reverse light circuit so it will turn on automatically when you put the vehicle into reverse. The power and signal cable needs to be routed from the rear of the vehicle to the dash location. The monitor and camera/sensor bar both plug into the power/signal cable via a multi-pin cable (similar to an S-video connector).
