Our take on the Fender Fighter

Fender's reputation for putting the loud in music is well-deserved, and your music will definitely get heard with their Fighter 12" powered PA speaker. This tough, road-ready piece of gear delivers 1100 total watts to its speakers, enough power to produce sound levels up to 130 dB. You can cover a couple hundred people in a medium-sized room with just one of these speakers — just think what you could do with two.

Features

Overview: The Fender Fighter 12 is a two-way, full-range, portable loudspeaker designed for bands, solo performers, DJs, schools, and businesses. Its equipped with an 1,100 watt Class D amplifier driving a high-quality 12" woofer and a 1" titanium, horn-loaded, high-frequency compression driver. It includes 3 input channels, each with two-band EQ, Bluetooth connectivity for audio streaming from mobile devices, and a loop output jack with subwoofer crossover switch. The Fighter 12's dual tuned-port system provides an extended bass response while its dynamic limiting circuitry continuously monitors headroom providing maximum power without distortion, even at high volume levels.

Rear Panel: All of the Fighter 12's inputs, output, and controls are located on the rear panel. Inputs 1 and 2 have both an XLR and a 1/4" TS input and include a Mic/Line switch, which allows for a wide range of input signals. The third input includes an 1/8" stereo jack and also doubles-up as the Bluetooth input channel. This section has a pairing button and a blue LED indicator that lights when a Bluetooth connection is established and in use. Each of the three inputs has its own Bass, Treble, and Volume controls and a Master volume adjusts the overall output from the speaker. A male XLR socket is provided to pass the main signal out to additional speakers and has a selector button that determines if the output is full-range or a crossed-over subwoofer signal. The main power switch, 3-pin IEC power socket, and fuse compartment are also located on the rear panel.

Construction: Designed for rugged durability, the Fighter 12's enclosure is made of wood encased in a vinyl covering along with protective plastic corner guards and a perforated steel grill. Two rear-mounted carry-handles make for easy transportability and a 35 mm socket on the bottom allows the Fighter 12 to be pole-mounted.
