Overview: The ClearView WIFI-NVR-4 is a 4-channel wireless Network Video Recorder with a built-in 1 TB HDD (hard disk drive). It is capable of recording video from up to 4 connected Wi-Fi cameras. It offers simultaneous video output via HDMI and VGA for real-time monitoring. The NVR has an embedded Linux Operating System.

Dual Codec Decoding: The NVR-4 can accept and decode both H.264 and Motion JPEG (MJPEG) video codecs. The recorder will allow a maximum input of 80 Mbps bandwidth in the following configurations: 2-channel 5M 25fps, 4-channel 3M 25fps, or 4-channel 1080p 30fps.

Video Inputs/Outputs: The NVR offers four channels of video input and one channel of video output. The video is output simultaneously via HDMI for monitoring on an HDMI-equipped TV and VGA (15-pin DE-15 connector) for monitoring on a PC or computer monitor. The video can be split into four windows for simultaneous monitoring of all four channels.

Note: The HDMI version is 1.4.

Audio In/Out: The Network Video Recorder has a mono, bi-directional talk input and output. This allows you to have a two-way conversation between persons at the PC-end and the Device-end. Microphones and speakers (or earphones) will need to be added at each location where needed.

Storage: The WIFI-NVR-4 is equipped with a built-in 1 TB HDD (hard disk drive) for storing your recorded video. The recorder will support only one SATA HDD, up to 4 TB in capacity. To increase the capacity of the recorder, you will need to replace the existing 1 TB HDD with another. In addition, two USB 2.0 ports are provided, allowing you to back up the HDD using a USB flash drive, network storage server, or a DVD burner. When the HDD becomes full, you can choose (in the menu) to stop recording or overwrite the HDD.

PTZ: If you have connected a camera that is PTZ-capable (pan, tilt, zoom), you can control the camera through the NVR-4's operating system. Using the supplied mouse, you can click on the PTZ Control Interface and set up the PTZ operation. You can control PTZ direction, speed, zoom, focus, iris, preset, tour, scan, pattern aux function, light and wiper, and rotation.

Indicator Lights: On the top panel of the NVR-4 are three LED indicator lights:

  • HDD Status: The red LED turns on when the HDD is abnormal.
  • Power: The red LED comes on when the power connection is OK.
  • Network Status: The red LED glows when the network connection is abnormal.

Connections: The NVR-4 has the following rear panel connections:

  • USB 2.0 Ports: Two Type A USB ports are provided for connecting the mouse (supplied) and/or a USB flash drive or other USB backup device
  • Network Port: RJ-45 jack for connecting the NVR-4 to a network router via the supplied Ethernet cable. The port is 10M/100Mbps compliant.
  • Antenna: Two adjustable antennas are connected to the rear panel. The antennas can be positioned at 0°, 45°, and 90°, and rotated 0° to 180°. The antenna are non-detachable.
  • HDMI: The HDMI port transmits uncompressed high definition video and multi-channel data to the HDMI port of the display device. The HDMI version is 1.4.
  • VGA: The 15-pin DE-15 port lets you output VGA analog video to a PC or monitor.
  • Mic In/Mic Out: Separate RCA audio jacks for connecting bi-directional talk inputs and outputs. The Mic In receives the analog signal from a microphone or pickup. The Mic Out outputs the analog audio to the monitors or a sound box for bi-directional talk, or the audio output for 1-window video playback.
  • DC 12V: Power socket for the supplied 12-volt power supply.

Sorry, no. The NVR does offer both HDMI and VGA outputs for viewing/monitoring on an HDMI equipped TV or a VGA equipped computer monitor. [ Ryan  Feb 20, 2017 ]  Staff
The Clearview should be compatible with most brands of network cameras, yes. The video recorder provides a "Smart Add" and a "Manual Add" feature that allows you to find the IP address of compatible devices on the same network and use them with the WIFI-NVR-4 I hope that helps!
