Our take on the Peavey SSE 12 by Crutchfield's Bob Bihlmayer
Versatile and compact

500 watts of power
This compact enclosure handles up to 500 watts RMS, so it'll produce clear, powerful sound whether you're using it for public address or for music. Peavey's powerful Scorpion Pro 1200+ 12" woofer handles the lower frequencies with ease, so you can count on a full sound. Their highly regarded 14XT 1.4" titanium compression driver broadcasts the high frequencies effectively throughout the listening area, while the Sound Guard™ IV network protects the driver against damage from high-level playback.
The enclosure is constructed of sturdy 1/2" birch plywood with an acrylic polyurethane finish that'll keep it looking sharp. Flying points on the top and bottom of the cabinet allow you to attach mounting brackets. The enclosure features a Speakon® connector and a terminal block for connecting to your amplifier. This little giant will give you the ability to be heard in a variety of applications.
