Mohu Sky 60 (Factory Recertified)
Amplified multi-directional attic/outdoor TV antenna
Our take on the Mohu Sky 60 (Factory Recertified) by Crutchfield's Steve Kindig
Mohu's top-performing antenna
Mohu Sky 60 mounted in an attic.
The factory-recertified version of the long-range Sky 60 HDTV antenna is literally as good as new — guaranteed by Mohu. Like Mohu's other models, the Sky 60 is based on antenna technology developed for the U.S. military. With its compact design, the Sky 60 can be easily mounted in an attic, and for rooftop use, its small footprint makes it a more visually appealing alternative to typical large long-range antennas. You can also mount it to an exterior wall wall or under an eave.
The Sky 60 can receive free over-the-air HDTV broadcasts from stations in the UHF and high-band VHF ranges (channels 7-51). It pulls in signals from multiple directions, so you don't have to move it to pick up signals from different TV towers. With a range of 60 miles, the Sky 60 provides crystal-clear picture quality for signals that are simply too weak for lesser antennas to grab.
Mohu's sophisticated signal amplifier
The Sky 60 includes Mohu's high-performance antenna amplifier. Its patent-pending technology increases reception range while filtering out the RF noise that can harm picture quality. The compact amplifier module connects between the Sky 60 antenna and your TV.
You have a couple of options for powering the amplifier. There's a mini USB port on the amplifier module, which allows you to power it off of any standard USB port on your TV — the USB-to-mini-USB cable is included. The advantage of USB power is that the amplifier will only draw power when the TV is turned on, instead of 24/7. If you don't have an available USB port on your TV, the amplifier also includes a regular AC power adapter, which you can plug into any standard wall outlet.

Average Customer Review(s):
Thanks for submitting your review
Indoor/Outdoor Antenna: Weighing in at only 3lbs, the Sky HDTV 60 indoor/outdoor antenna is a powerful, amplified TV antenna solution that was developed from research for the United States military.
Amplifier w/ Clean Peak Filter Technology: The included digital amplifier with Clean Peak Filter Technology is designed to amplify TV stations and filter out any RF signals that can hinder picture quality. The digital amplifier allows you to pull in a clearer picture, more stations, and increase overall performance.
USB/AC Powered: The SKY HDTV 60 antenna's digital amplifier is powered via an integrated USB cable, which allows you to power the amplifier using an open USB port on the back of your TV. The advantage of doing so is that the amplifier will only draw power when the TV is turned on, eliminating parasitic power consumption when the amplifier isn't needed. If you do not have an open USB port on the back of your TV, the SKY HDTV 60 also includes a power cube that will enable you to power the amplifier using any standard AC wall outlet.
60 Mile Range: The SKY HDTV 60 antenna performs best within 60 miles (UHF) and 45 miles (VHF) of transmission towers. Go here and enter in your zip-code to find out which free over-the-air HDTV channels are available in your area.
Multi-Directional: The Sky HDTV 60 antenna is multidirectional and does not have to be constantly readjusted for optimal signal strength. Because the Mohu SKY HDTV 60 is multi-direction, there is no need to point the antenna in any particular direction.
Mounting Options: The Sky HDTV 60 antenna is designed to be mounted in either your attic or on the outside of your house, preferably on the roof. Most users will receive the best signal the higher they mount the antenna. A mounting bracket is included. The antenna should be positioned vertically (not horizontally).
30' RF-Coax Cable: The Mohu Sky HDTV 60 includes a 30' detachable RG59-coaxial cable.

Indoor/outdoor versatility, range, internet reviews, cutting the cord. [ Stephen Sep 19, 2017 ]
I now have a Samsung Q9F 4K UHD and it is great for all of the higher resolution streaming activity but my Xfinity cable channels leave quite a bit to desire. Running both my old Panasonic plasma side by side with the Samsung, I noticed that the picture wasn't very good on either one. I am looking forward to seeing if this antenna can improve on the picture since the Q9F has a connection for a digital antenna. We will see what happens. [ Frans Sep 18, 2017 ]
I bought the first one brand new in 12/2015. A second home and a second OTA TV setup this is the hands down solution. It outperforms all the other and is the simpliest and safest to install in attic. The refurbished unit carries the same tech, warrenty and perfoance as the other just saves some coin upfront! [ Dr. Charles Sep 12, 2017 ]
I chose this because is omnidirectional and comes with what is required to mount outdoors, also the signal receiving range. [ DPAZ Sep 12, 2017 ]
It received good ratings. it is supposed to be omni-directional and does not have to be mounted outside. [ M Jun 12, 2017 ]
needed it [ WILLIAM May 20, 2017 ]
Gave me the VHF distance I needed [ Dinald Apr 27, 2017 ]
I purchased the Mohu sky 60 antenna for myself, and it worked so well I purchased one for my parents as well. [ Steven Apr 22, 2017 ]
I hope it will let me get over the air TV signals. [ Lloyd Apr 09, 2017 ]

2 questions already asked
I could not pick up but one channel.Sent it back for refund. [ JAMES Feb 10, 2015 ]
Rodney, It does. I have one and it pulls in channels 2-13 quite nicely. I am not sure why the description on Crutchfield's web site specifies only channels 7-13. [ John Feb 09, 2015 ]
This Is a digital antenna. Perhaps the stations utilizing 2 -6 are not broadcasting in high definition. I suggest you use an app called antenna helper. It will tell you what stations are available in your zip code. I found that stations I thought I could get were to far away and this app helped determined that. [ Larry Feb 09, 2015 ]
This thing is very directional. Try rotating the antenna VERY incrementally. Also, a windy day seems to affect it's ability to pick up certain channels [ STEVEN Feb 09, 2015 ]
Mine gets channel 6, so I'm guessing 2-5 would work fine if there were anything broadcast on those stations where I live. Not sure why the product specs only reference 7+. [ Denton Feb 08, 2015 ]
There are no television stations on VHF 2-6. This is the part of the VHF TV spectrum that did not survive the digital transition. The government sold it off for other services. The stations formerly there mostly moved to UHF. The stations may transmit PSIP codes with their signals to cause OTA tuners to put them on their historic VHF channel numbers, but they are in fact mostly on UHF now. [ Steven Feb 08, 2015 ]
I would say approx 2ft. Wide by 18in high. [ Marc Nov 25, 2014 ]
