Overview

Our take on the Nikon MB-D12

A must have for D800 enthusiasts, this battery grip from Nikon gives you extended shooting time plus increased comfort and balance as you snap photos. It attaches to the bottom of your D800, providing a convenient grip when holding the camera in the vertical position. It offers a shutter release button, front and rear command dials, and a joystick control for setting focus points. The magnesium frame and rubberized surfaces match your D800 perfectly and give it a more professional look and feel. The grip holds an optional EN-EL15 or EN-EL18 Nikon battery, or lets you operate your camera using eight "AA" batteries (not included).

Product Highlights:

  • lets you comfortably hold camera upright for portraits
  • ideal for photographers with larger hands and those shooting with heavier, professional or telephoto lenses
  • compatible with Nikon D800 camera
  • camera grip holds one optional EN-EL15/EN-EL18 or 8 optional "AA" batteries
  • dual battery operation: uses one EN-EL15/18 in the camera and one in the grip

A well made battery grip for the D810, D800, and D800e. The fit and feel are good on both my D800e and D810. In spite of the price, if you need a grip, this is the one to get. Highly recommended!

1 question already asked

It is a genuine Nikon battery grip. It does come in a Nikon box with warranty [ PAUL  Sep 23, 2015 ]
Yes, it's made by Nikon w/ box, manual, etc. [ John  Sep 22, 2015 ]
This is a genuine Nikon product with Nikon warranty. Very solidly made and a must if you are shooting a lot of verticals. The extra battery in the grip helps make up for the short life of the in camera battery. [ Andrew  Sep 22, 2015 ]
Not speaking for Crutchfield here, but the one I ordered IS a Nikon unit and is working as described. Came with box and warranty. Have heard many negative reviews about knock-offs so (as usual) stayed with name brand merchandise and have not had a problem. [ Don  Sep 22, 2015 ]
I purchased this same MB-D12 from Crutchfield. And it is genuine Nikon with a USA warranty. Crutchfield is one of the most trustworthy online stores - no need to worry about the products they sell. [ John  Sep 22, 2015 ]
The one I received was the authentic Nikon brand. Bought it in January of this year and works and fits great. [ William  Sep 22, 2015 ]
Hi, yes this is the genuine Nikon battery holder for Nikon D-800/810 cameras. Yes, it comes with a Nikon Box and warranty. Thank you, Steve [ Steve  Sep 22, 2015 ]
Original Nikon all the way. Includes Nikon USA warranty. Have no concerns. It is the real deal. [ David  Sep 22, 2015 ]
I purchased this product through Crutchfield and it is an authentic Nikon product and therefore comes in the Nikon packaging with the Nikon warranty. [ Paul  Sep 22, 2015 ]
