Our take on the Fujinon Mariner WP-XL 7 x 50 Binoculars by Crutchfield's Kramer Crane
Built for life on the water
Boating enthusiasts know the importance of having a clear picture of the water ahead. The Fujinon Mariner WP-XL is up to the task. It features 7X magnification and a bright view. These binoculars are waterproof, and they even float when used with the included high-visibility yellow flotation strap.
Easy to hold and operate
The Mariner WP-XL features a wide, large frame that's easy to grip. And it's surprisingly light. I brought this model home for testing and was impressed by its nimble, compact design. My favorite feature: The objective lens caps are tethered to its body, so you don't have to worry about losing them while out on the water.

Overview: The Fujifilm Mariner-series binoculars are durable and lightweight. They are designed for marine use, as well as for hunting, camping, bird watching, and other leisure activities. Mariner-series binoculars are ideal for beginners to advanced amateurs, and come with a floatation neck strap, an eyepiece cover, tethered objective lens covers, and a cleaning cloth.
Construction: The binoculars have a polycarbonate housing to make them lightweight (around 2 pounds). Waterproof O-ring seals help keep water and dust away from the internal optics.
Multi-coated Optics: Mariner-series binoculars feature fully multi-coated optics to ensure maximum light transmission.
Individual Eyepiece Focus: The Mariner-series binoculars lack a center focus control, but have individual focus controls for each eyepiece. Users with normal eyesight will find distant objects are clearly in focus when the diopter scales of each eyepiece are set to 0. Near or farsighted users should adjust each eyepiece until each eye sees a sharp, perfectly focused distant image.
Rubber Eyecups: The non-adjustable rubber eyecups offer long eye relief (18mm), allowing you to get a full field-of-view through the binoculars, even while wearing eyeglasses. The binoculars have an interpupillary distance adjustment so that you are viewing a single image when looking through the eyepieces.
5 Year Warranty: The Fujifilm Mariner-series binoculars are protected by a 5-year Limited Warranty. The warranty term begins when the product is registered within 10 days from the date of purchase (or in case of a gift, from the date of receipt). The warranty applies to the original end user, and does not cover rubber or accessories.
