Vocal Condenser Microphone: The Artist Series ATM710 vocal condenser microphone from Audio-Technica is tailored for exacting detail and high-fidelity vocal reproduction. With a condenser design for studio-quality performance, the ATM710 delivers remarkable clarity.
Phantom Power: The ATM710 is intended for use in professional applications where remote power is available. It requires 11V to 52V DC phantom power, which may be provided by a mixer or console, or by a separate, in-line source phantom power supplies.
Cardioid Polar Pattern: The microphone's cardioid polar pattern reduces pickup of sounds from the sides and rear, improving isolation of the desired sound source.
Hi-Pass Filter: The microphone is equipped with an integral 80 Hz hi-pass filter that provides easy switching from a flat frequency response to a low-end roll-off position that reduces the microphone's sensitivity to popping in close vocal use.
10dB Pad: The ATM710 is also equipped with a switchable 10 dB pad that lowers the microphone's sensitivity, providing higher SPL capability.
Rugged, All-Metal Design: The microphone is enclosed in a rugged housing. It features super-durable construction for long-lasting, trouble-free performance.
Multi-Stage Windscreen: The microphone's multi-stage windscreen effectively controls popping, distortion from sibilant sounds and wind noise. Take care to keep foreign particles from entering the windscreen. An accumulation of iron or steel filings on the diaphragm, and/or foreign material in the windscreen's mesh surface, can degrade performance.
XLRM-Type Connector: The output of the microphone is a corrosion-resistant, gold-plated XLRM-type connector(3-Pin).
Mounting Options: The Audio-Technica ATM710 includes a Quiet-Flex stand clamp that provides silent, flexible microphone positioning.
Placement: When using the ATM710 in settings with a stage monitor
speaker, the speaker should be located 180° off axis (at rear of the
microphone). This placement, in conjunction with the microphone's uniform cardioid pickup pattern, will virtually eliminate the possibility of undesired audio feedback.
