Universal tilt/swivel ceiling mount for 37"-70" flat-panel TVs
Our take on the Sanus LC1A by Crutchfield's Ralph Graves
The Sanus LC1A ceiling mount lets you place your flat-panel TV in locations where wall-mounting isn't practical, such as in a corner of your room. The mounting bracket accommodates virtually any 37" to 70" flat-panel TV. Two steel tubes connected by an elbow joint hold your TV securely in place. With two different lengths of tubing, you can select the distance your TV suspended from the ceiling. A channel in the back of the mount keeps your TV's cables hidden for an uncluttered appearance.
You can swivel your TV a full 90° to the left or right, and tilt it up 5° or down 15°. Sanus' Virtual Axis™ technology allows variable angle adjustment with just the touch of a finger. With Virtual Axis, the display stays exactly where you aim it, and you can lock the position by simply tightening a knob.

Overview: The VisionMount LC1A is a tilt and swivel ceiling mount for large flat-panel TVs. This mount is a great choice for space-saving corner placement or when wall mounting is not an option. Sanus Systems' Virtual Axis technology allows the mount to tilt up and down with the touch of a finger, and a unique wire management channel conceals and routes cables from ceiling to TV. This mount includes a ceiling adapter plate for wood joist or solid surface ceilings as well as two pipe lengths for multiple configurations. Universal mounting brackets fit virtually any flat-panel TV from 37" to 70" and up to 175 lbs.
Virtual Axis: The LC1A features Virtual Axis technology which offers effortless tilt and swivel motion without the use of tools. Once mounted, your television can be tilted up 5-degrees and down 15-degrees. The LC1A can also swivel your television +/- 90 degrees left to right. In addition, the LC1A can angle (roll) your TV +/-6 degrees.
Universal TV Bracket: The supplied universal mounting bracket fits nearly all flat-panel TVs from 37" to 70", up to 175 lbs. The bracket measures 29.5" wide x 18.5" high. The vertical spacing of the bracket can be adjusted from 7.5" to 17.5" (190.5mm to 444.5mm). The horizontal spacing of the bracket can be adjusted from 6.5" to 26.5" (165mm to 673mm). The LC1A comes supplied with 4mm, 5mm, 6mm and 8mm hardware.
Note: Additional hardware may be required for your specific model of TV. For example; shorter or longer screws, thicker or slimmer washers or spacers. These additional accessories can often be found at your local hardware store.
Ceiling Adapter Plate: Easily attach the LC1A to wood joists or solid surface ceilings using the supplied ceiling adapter plate.
Multiple Mounting Configurations: The included 12" and 18" pipe lengths offer multiple mounting configurations. You can mount your television 0 to 10.25" from the ceiling.
S-Coupler: The supplied "S" Coupler allows easy replacement of existing CRT ceiling mounts with 1.5" NPT pipe.
Wire Management Channel: The LC1A's built-in wire management system routes and conceals your cables from the ceiling to the television.

Why did you buy this?
I'm mounting a TV in my screened porch, and there are no solid walls to which it can be mounted. I used one of these at my previous house and it was perfect! [ Conrad Aug 30, 2017 ]
To hang a bedroom television in a corner near the ceiling. I've purchased multiple other Sanus TV mounts in the past and been pleased with all of them. [ Ryan Aug 29, 2017 ]

Unfortunately, not with the parts in the kit. The ceiling mount simply bolts to the ceiling using lag bolts (and assumes a structure to the ceiling). But the connection between the top pipe and the ceiling is a standard 1.5" NTP pipe fitting that is a standard common to many many other ceiling mounts. I would bet you could find what you are looking for and get the parts to fit together. [ Josh May 01, 2017 ]
No it does not. [ dipstick May 01, 2017 ]
You sure can! All it takes is a 1.5" NPT pipe that you should be able to get in numerous lengths at a local hardware store. HTH! My Bio: http://www.crutchfield.com/Support/Bio.aspx?bio=101 [ Paul Nov 17, 2016 ] Staff
no way it will rust [ CHAD J Jul 20, 2015 ]

This is a heavy duty piece of equipment, and I would not hesitate to use it outside, but I be concern that the TV set I have mounted on it would get wet. [ Laszlo Jul 17, 2015 ]
