Our take on the Sanus VLT16 by Crutchfield's Ralph Graves
Mount your large TV close to your wall
The slender Sanus VLT16 mount holds your TV a scant 7/8" from the wall, great for installations where you want ot keep the mounting depth to a minimum. An innovative Virtual Axis™ system lets you tilt your TV forward for optimal viewing, despite its closeness to the wall. The VLT16 can support a TV with a screen size of up to 80", and a weight of up to 125 lbs.
The mount's brackets can easily be shifted to the right or left, in case the wall studs are a little off-center. You can also make small adjustments after the mount is affixed to the wall to level it, or even change the height. And the handy ClickStand at the bottom of each vertical brace swings out to prop your mounted TV away from the wall, to make cable hookup a breeze — without removing the TV from the mount.

Great product, very sturdy, installs easily and the adjustments work well. My only criticism is that the tilt adjustment is very hard to reach once the TV is installed. Also, if you have a bundle of cables to hide behind the TV this is probably not the mount for you.

I like it's low profile [ Kevin Jul 05, 2017 ]
We have a "behind the wall" cable configuration however the plug-in connector boxes were located in the middle of the mounting area. This makes most of the TV mount systems unusable for us as they mount "across" our connector boxes. We're hopeful this mount will work as it appears to have one main support bracket that will bolt to studs, and be located, above our connector boxes. We have our fingers crossed. Typically in my TV installs I like to use Sanus flat mounts due to the thin design. In this situation I needed a tilting mount, so I went with Sanus because I have been pleased with the product and this unit is very low-profile as well, only 7/8" [ Nicholas Jan 15, 2016 ]
Needed to mount TV on wall. This mount wound up being rubbish compared to my old Sanus I used to have for my plasma. Flimsy, hard to adjust, can't reach knobs, (an orangutan may be able to reach behind and adjust the tension knobs). [ MATTHEW Dec 08, 2015 ]
1 question already asked
1 answer Sound Bar Speaker Mount compatible? - Does anyone know if this particular TV mount is compatible with the Sanus SA405 Sound Bar Speaker Mount or something similar? We are looking to mount a Sonos Soundbar below or above the TV as being mounted onto a Steel clad Fireplace. - Thanks in advance [ Sally Jul 12, 2016 ]
It will work but it takes a lot of adjustment to get it looking right. It might be better to mount them separately. That's what i did. [ Joe Neff Jul 12, 2016 ]
