Features

Design: The Scosche SoundKase DFC1X is a padded storage case for your car stereo's detachable face. "The Pouch" is made of durable black vinyl and micro nylon with a plastic zipper and a custom SoundKase metal zipper pull. On the back of the case is a 1-1/2" wide strap with a hook and loop closure that can be used as a belt loop or finger loop. Another loop at the end of the zipper allows you to insert a ring or clip to attach the case to a backpack. Inside the case is a cloth-lined padded pocket for your stereo face plate. If desired, the case can also be used for storing sunglasses or a cell phone.

The receiver I ordered did not have a case for the face plate - this will help protect it... [ LADD  Aug 22, 2017 ]
I decided to install a Kenwood bluetooth unit in my work truck. While out on vacation someone used my work vehicle and blew out all the speakers by turning the bass up to max and blasting music all day long. So, after having to replace the speakers myself, I'm purchasing this case so that I can detach my units face and keep it safe until I return to work. My Kenwood unit has a detachable face, but for some odd reason Kenwood doesn't supply you with a place to store it once detached. [ Willie  Aug 13, 2017 ]

I was looking to upgrade my boat head unit. The current one was an Alpine, approximately 12 years old. Nothing wrong with it, just no modern features. I just ordered a JVC, LOADED with up to date amenities. Bluetooth, phone charging, remote control, file storage, etc., for around $100. Amazing! Day trips planned. Can't wait to try out the new unit, while hooked up to Spotify. Thank you Crutch field! What an awesome store. [ Gregory  Jul 05, 2017 ]

The original hard case hinge was tearing, I needed a new case so as to protect an older cassette face plate unit no longer offered for sale from Crutchfield,...oh well. I'm glade that you folks sell these as many other claim to, but don't seem to actually stock them. Thank You. [ RICHARD F  Aug 05, 2016 ]

2 questions already asked

i can say that this case is soft, spacious and durable compared to the hard case that came with my single DIN receiver. I carry the Alpine CDE-HD149BT faceplate along with a Remote Control, 6foot charging cable, USB stick, and a USB lighter adapter. [ Carlos  Mar 21, 2018 ]
Yes it should fit. It has plenty of room for any single din removable faceplate. [ Reginald  Mar 21, 2018 ]
The inside is soft lined foam. There are no pockets or compartments. It fits my faceplate well and it has protected it from bangs and scratches. There may be room to add other items like flash drives, etc. but I only use the case for my faceplate. The case is flexible, so I take care not to crush or bend the case when packing it with the faceplate inside. It has performed well for me, as I do not require a rigid or waterproof case. [ JEFFREY  Aug 25, 2016 ]
yes there is some padding i personally like this case. [ Frank B.  Aug 24, 2016 ]
