Features

Max-Stream AC1750 WiFi Router: The Linksys EA7300 Max-Stream AC1750 MU-MIMO Gigabit WiFi Router is a Dual-Band Smart WiFi Router withone USB 3.0 port and four Gigabit Ethernet LAN ports. It supports data rates of up to 450Mbps for the 2.4GHz band and up to 1300Mbps for the 5GHz band. This router comes with three external non-detachable dipole antennas for enhanced dual-band communication and network efficiency. It lets you stream in 4K, surf, video chat, and play online without buffering at the same time.

880MHz Dual-Core Processor: Powered by an 880Mhz dual-core processor, the Max-Stream AC1750 WiFi Router is capable of handling multiple simultaneous data streams, which results in improved WiFi performance and faster WiFi speeds to more devices. The Linksys EA7300 has 128MB flash storage and has a Random Access Memory (RAM) of 256MB DDR3.

Multiple Antennas: The Linksys EA7300 has 3 external dipole non-detachable antennas and one internal antenna. Optimized for coverage in small homes, these four high-performance antennas broadcast a strong WiFi signal that improves connectivity in hard-to-reach areas. Play video games, listen to music, check emails, shop online, stream HD movies, and more, without having to worry about dropped signals.

  • For multistory homes, position the external antennas where the middle antenna is straight up and the side antennas are angled outwards (30°-45°).
  • For single story homes, all three external antennas should be positioned straight up.

Wireless-AC: The Linksys EA7300 router supports the following WiFi standards - 802.11a, 802.11b, 802.11g, 802.11n, and 802.11ac. AC WiFi delivers exceptional speed and performance, and is 3x faster than Wireless-N.

Dual-Band (2.4GHz + 5GHz): The Linksys Max-Stream AC1750 WiFi Router offers two dedicated WiFi bands that deliver combined speeds of up to 1.7 Gbps. Moreover, it can connect up to 10+ devices. High-bandwidth activities like 4K video streaming are connected to the high-speed 5 GHz band, while basic activities like email are placed on the 2.4 GHz band.

  • Band 1 (2.4GHz): Optimal speeds up to 450Mbps for older Wireless-N & G devices.
  • Band 2 (5GHZ): Faster speeds up to 1300Mbps for newer Wireless-AC devices.

MU-MIMO Technology: The Linksys Max-Stream AC1750 WiFi Router features Next-Gen AC WiFi with MU-MIMO technology, the latest advancement towards uninterrupted, simultaneous WiFi connections. Devices such as 4K TVs, HD streaming media players, tablets, game consoles, and many more use a lot of bandwidth, and with MU-MIMO (Multi-User, Multiple-Input, Multiple-Output) technology, the Max-Stream AC1750 WiFi router sends WiFi to multiple devices at the same time and same speed. Your whole family can play, stream, and work at once, without experiencing lag or buffering--at up to 2x the speed of a non-MU-MIMO router.

Seamless Roaming: To enable Seamless Roaming, pair this Max-Stream Router with a Max-Stream Range Extender (such as the Linksys RE7000, sold separately). The intuitive technology lets you move freely in and outside of your home without dropping a WiFi signal.

Simple Setup: Setting up the Linksys EA7300 is made fast and easy because of its CD-less setup. Enter http://LinksysSmartWiFi.com in a web browser. You can run the setup from a web browser even if the router initially does not have Internet connection or is on factory settings. The default IP Address for this router is 192.168.1.1, and the default router password is admin. The default SSID and passphrase of the Linksys EA7300 are printed on the product label underneath the device. At the end of the setup you can mange the following router settings -

  • Change the router's name & password
  • Setup a Guest network and Guest access
  • Configure parental controls
  • Connect devices to the WiFi router and your wireless network
  • Test your Internet connection speed

Linksys App: With the Linksys App for Apple iOS 8.0+ and Android OS 4.0.3+, you can closely monitor and manage your home WiFi remotely using your smartphone or tablet. With the Linksys App, you can access your home network from anywhere, any time. Easily tap into your home network to check the connection status of your devices, set up WiFi access for guests, or restrict your kids from accessing social networking sites when they should be doing homework. You can even prioritize which devices on your network get priority bandwidth to reduce lag times and buffering. You no longer have to be tethered to your desk at home to manage your home network.

  • Remote Access: Access and manage your network from anywhere and quickly view the status of your WiFi network.
  • Guest Network: There are two Guest networks that can be set up on the Linksys EA7300; one for each network band (2.4 GHz and 5 GHz). The default Guest network password is BeMyGuest. The default SSID of each Guest network is the SSID of the main network appended with the -guest suffix. Create a separate, password-protected WiFi network for up to 50 guests and easily share the password. Guests will be removed in First-In, First-Out (FIFO) order once the maximum number of guests is reached.
  • Parental Controls: Ensure a safe Internet experience for your kids, even when you're away from home. Restrict access to inappropriate or distracting content, control usage, and block specific devices from accessing the Internet.
  • Device Prioritization: You can prioritize devices that need the most speed.

Linksys Skill For Alexa: The Linksys Skill for Alexa allows you to ask WiFi information from the Linksys Smart WiFi Router and control the Guest Network. You can ask Alexa for the following information of your Linksys Smart WiFi Router -

  • Get WiFi credentials
  • Get Guest WiFi credentials
  • Turn On/Off Guest Network (also offers to read credentials)
  • Enable/Disable Skill
  • Help, i.e. " Alexa, ask Linksys what I can do" - and Alexa reads off the above Skills

Gigabit Ethernet Ports: The Linksys EA7300 router is fitted with five 10/100/1000 (1 WAN & 4 LAN) Gigabit Ethernet ports with auto-sensing technology. The WAN port is used to connect your Internet modem, while the LAN ports are used to connect your local network devices.

USB 3.0 Port: The Linksys EA7300 has a USB 3.0 port which is capable of supporting an external hard disk or flash drive with up to 1100mA current draw. This port supports FAT, FAT32, NTFS, and HFS+ journaled and non-journaled file format systems. Share audio, video, photo, and document files; plus add external storage across your network with the USB 3.0 port. USB 3.0 offers enhanced speeds over 2.0.

DLNA & UPnP Compliant: The Linksys EA7300 router supports DLNA & UPnP for connectivity and streaming between compatible network devices. The Universal Plug and Play (UPnP) and Digital Living Network Alliance (DLNA) both have a set of guidelines that allow interconnectivity between network devices.

  • Universal Plug and Play (UPnP): UPnP allows devices that are connected to a network to easily discover each other and automatically create a working configuration. By enabling UPnP, you will be able to automatically forward the needed ports for a certain device or application. Examples of UPnP-capable devices include web cameras, gaming consoles, routers, computers, VOIP, and mobile devices. This is very useful especially if you want to do data sharing, communicate with another device in the network, or for entertainment purposes such as video conferencing and gaming.
  • Digital Living Network Alliance (DLNA): DLNA is an international collaboration of Consumer Electronics (CE), computing industry and mobile device companies. They developed a concept of wired and wireless interoperable networks where digital content such as photo, music, and videos can be shared through consumer electronics, personal computers and mobile devices in and beyond your home. DLNA-enabled products are designed to be easy to install, affordable, must interoperate with each other without requiring the consumer to undergo complex or tedious setup, and configuration for connection between devices.
Note: In general, all DLNA-capable devices are also UPnP-capable since the former is derived from the later. Also, DLNA uses UPnP to discover and control different devices.

Advanced Security Modes: The Linksys EA7300 supports WEP, WPA2 Personal, WPA2 Enterprise, WPA2/WPA Mixed Personal, and WPA2/WPA Enterprise on both 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands. Its provides up to 128-bit encryption. You can even use WPS (WiFi Protected Setup) technology to automatically and securely add wireless devices to your network.

DMZ & Port Forwarding: The DMZ feature allows one local user to be exposed to the Internet for use of a special-purpose service such as Internet gaming and Videoconferencing (VC). The DMZ hosting forwards all the ports at the same time to one computer. Port Forwarding is more secure compared to enabling the DMZ feature because it only opens the ports you want to open.

Wireless Scheduler: The Wireless Scheduler feature of the Linksys EA7300 allows you to turn Off or On the wireless networks, including the Guest networks at your preferred time.

LED Indicators: The LED lights indicate the status of the router.
