Lit up and loud

Clarion's 6-1/2" CMQ1622RL marine speakers will bring serious audio performance to your boat, plus super-cool blue LED lighting that will look great in any cabin. Like all Clarion marine gear, these speakers are built tough for life on the water. High-impact grilles and Clarion's exceptional waterproofing will ensure years of great sound.

Serious sound by the seashore

If you're going to invest in marine speakers, you want to know you're getting speakers that can be heard over engine noise and wind roar. These Clarions will do exactly that, and you'll also be impressed with the depth and detail they bring to your tunes.

These full-range speakers will handle up to 60 watts RMS (200 watts peak) and they're tough enough to handle high volume all day long. With mica-injected polypropylene woofer cones, 1-1/4" titanium horn tweeters, and brawny magnets, these speakers have heft and quality that you'll notice the moment you take them out of the box.

Made for marine use

Clarion designs their marine gear to stand up to the worst Mother Nature can dish out. A rugged die-cast aluminum basket protects the entire structure, and the high-impact plastic grilles are UV-treated to resist punishing sunlight. A liquid drainage system designed into the structure keeps rain and spray from pooling up. All Clarion marine speakers are designed to meet or exceed industry standards for UV-ray, salt, fog, and moisture resistance.

Installation note: These speakers require a large cutout that's at least 5-11/16" wide. We recommend that you remove your old speaker and measure the speaker opening — not the old speaker — before ordering.

    Q
Are these speakers 6 1/2 or 6 3/4? The caption says 1/2 but the details say 3/4.

I returned them because they were too big for the holes. As you know, making a hole bigger in a boat is impossible without ruining the interior. So, I cannot tell you their exact dimensions but I have noticed that these speaker companies are trying to use "car speakers" modified for boats instead of starting from the ground up to match boats. In America,we have way too many boat manufacturers all using proprietary stuff to make their boats different. It's all great when they are brand new, but is hard once the original parts go away. Good luck. My boat came with a cool speaker called Polk momo. But it was one of two speakers made like that and no longer in production.

Good question. I had to Dremel out my hole from my old 6.5's to get these to fit because of the basket size in the back. Plus they are deep so I wasn't able to mount them in the old speakers spot due to clearance / throttle housing. the screw holes line up with my old 6.5s so I gotta say they are 6.5 but like I said the basket in the back is huge.

The speakers 6.5" but the cover that has the led lights in them that screws over the speaker at 6.75"

The bass is good but speakers are on my boat. If you want really good bass will need a subwoofer

It's fair not overpowering I have them mounted at my rear seat. If you were to enclose behind them it would pick up even more
