Sound Isolating™ in-ear headphones
Our take on the Shure SE112 by Crutchfield's David Brown
In-ear monitors you can be proud of
Don't be the guy in the studio or on stage using your smartphone's cheap stock earbuds for monitoring. Shure's SE112 Sound Isolating earphones represent a significant step up, delivering the rich, clear sound that's made Shure popular with professional musicians, live sound experts, and recording engineers, all for a very affordable price. The SE112's sturdy cables wrap around your ears to help keep them securely in place, while keeping wires out of your face as you move while performing on stage or tracking in the studio. And when you're out of the studio, plug them into your smartphone and enjoy your favorite tunes on the go.
A smart fit for proper noise isolation
The SE112's dynamic micro-drivers provide the optimal angle in your ear canal to ensure you hear all the details in whatever music you're listening to. The included soft flex ear tips come in a variety of sizes, so you'll get up to 37dB of noise attenuation with the right fit. That means less external noise will enter your ears, so you're better able to focus on what you're supposed to be hearing — a crucial factor for any musician looking to deliver a knockout performance.

Overview: The Shure SE112 Sound Isolating Earphones deliver crystal clear, spacious sound with rich bass. These in-ear headphones are equipped with a single dynamic MicroDriver, and a 48" cord (non-detachable) with an adjustable cinch and a right-angled 3.5mm plug. The SE112s can be used for personal listening and in-ear monitoring.
Sound Isolating Sleeves: The SE112s come with a Fit Kit that includes three sizes of sound isolating sleeves--Small, Medium, and Large. The sleeves provide a secure, comfortable fit, and a good seal to block up to 37dB of ambient noise.

I wear earplugs at work at the post office- WAAAAY too noisy. Would like to listen to my MP3 player- a Sansa clip with an added chip-much available music. Also ride two Harleys-(not simultaneously though-not *that* good) Highly regarded brand name- price is right in my zone-don't need to answer my (flip) phone while I have buds in. Not sure as I use a droid, however I would think it would work just fine. They are great sounding, and if they don't work you can always return. Crutchfield is great about returns. [ ROBERT May 06, 2016 ]
Worked just fine on my iPhone 5. [ barry May 04, 2016 ]
Yes [ Robert May 03, 2016 ]
Yes, I use it on my iPhone 5 and now iPhone 6 [ Gary May 03, 2016 ]
I have used these with my iPhone 6s, and they sound great! However, I have also read online about the receptacle on iPhones being slightly different than the standard - using regular headphone plugs in the jack may wear it out, eventually not work, whatever. There must be a million people using aftermarket headphones with iPhones, so it's hard to imagine that it's that big of a deal - but I wish Apple would use conventional designs/sizes whenever possible. Hope this helps. Mike [ Michael May 03, 2016 ]
Yes. [ Matthew May 03, 2016 ]
