Overview: The Klipsch IK-502-W in-wall installation kit offers increased mounting flexibility for several of Klipsch residential in-wall speakers. The IK-502-W fits the Klipsch R-2502-W, R-5502-W, and KL-6502-THX. The Klipsch IK-502-W is an innovative & easy to use in-wall installation kit. This in-wall installation kit incorporates a color-coded mud ring for easy size identification, a breakaway wire tie, and multi-position snap fit wings. The metal wings easily fasten to the studs via screws staples or nails. Ribbed for increased rigidity, these wings enable a kit to span up to 24" easily. Painted white for easy marking and placement, these metal wings will fold around the edge of the studs if necessary.

Why did you buy this?
I am building a house and my A/V guy suggested that I use pre-construction brackets. This is my second build and in the first one we just had the wires hanging from a small hole in the drywall and without the brackets, some of the speakers were a challenge to install. [ Rob Mar 12, 2017 ]
