I know nothing about the complexities of audio systems but I always felt confident in my ability to use online resources to piece information together. Not this time. I felt even more lost trying to piece together a speaker system upgrade for my 1997 BMW M3. I saw some people on the Web saying that Crutchfield offers a service to help with this and gave it a shot expecting help from people who had little training and offered run of the mill advice. I was very wrong. Rucker helped me understand my car's audio system and walked me through what I needed exactly and even worked within my requirements (didn't want to replace the stock wires.) Would highly recommend Rucker.

I'm just an old farmer that needed help with a new radio in my old tractor. However, I didn't want to have to install a new antenna on my tractor because I didn't want to have to tear the cab apart. I called your company and Rucker took my call. He listened to my problem, I was able to send him pictures of my old radio and antenna hook up. He found the perfect radio that I wanted, due to wanting a weather band radio, and he came up with the antenna adapter I would need. I ordered the radio and adapter. I called an had the opportunity to speak with Mr. Rucker. I knew what I wanted but didn't know what exactly I was looking for. Ever since I bought my 2008 Honda Civic SI last year (2024), it has needed new speakers. The bass is blown, and my son (a Marine) recommended a set that my wife bought for Christmas. When I began researching installation, I noticed that I needed adapters and mounting brackets to complete the install. Before I made the order (about $45), I called Crutchfield to make sure I had the right products. Rucker was my support agent, and he was an amazing ambassador of his company! His intricate knowledge of the product and my specific vehicle needs was apparent throughout our conversation. He was very patient and thorough answering all my questions and sending links to pictures to help me with the install. I like how the Crutchfield website gives me some key info about the agent who I'm talking to. It turns out, he is a very personable guy and was not afraid to share a little about himself. (It's always nice to know we're speaking with a real human, not just a faceless agent who was assigned to my call. I'm not even talking about bots; don't get me started.) When he pulled up my wife's original order, he explained that the mounting products and adapters should have been included in the original cost and sent them free of charge(!!) I am very pleased with Rucker's service today, and it encourages me to recommend Crutchfield as an example of world-class customer service. I will definitely use them in the future when I need their products.

My 2007 Grand Cherokee's radio, with navigation & back up camera, recently failed completely. I remembered Crutchfield from years past. After reviewing the many double din head units which their software indicated would fit in my Jeep, I settled on Kenwood. It was then that I "met" Rucker who became "my" advisor. During our first conversation, he gave me his direct number and his workdays and hours so I could call him directly in the future - which I did frequently. He was not only knowledgeable on the features and their plusses and minuses; he repeatedly had the patience of Job in helping me understand them. He patiently took his time to explain the various features of different models in a way that I would understand, not only how they worked, but how I would use them, or not. He also convinced me that, with his and tech support's guidance, I could install the radio. He did the same with my camera needs. My installation evolved into a technical nightmare which was handled incredibly well by tech support. My advisor, Rucker, and Eli (and others) in tech support, were incredibly helpful with their patience and detailed guidance and overcame the obstacles. Thank you, Mr. Crutchfield, you have a winning combination of knowledgeable "advisors" and "tech support" staff who speak ENGLISH, are patient, customer oriented, and return customer's calls. That stands alone in today's market!!! And, thank you Rucker for your time, knowledge transfer, and patience!

There's a reason I always recommend Crutchfield to anyone who asks me about audio: Customer Service! This morning, Rucker provided outstanding customer service even beyond the already great advice I get from Crutchfield. I had been trying to solve an annoyance with different volume levels from my TiVo and Apple TV using paired HomePods for Dolby ATMOS sound from my LG C2 over eARC. Basically, the TiVi BOLT is 2-3 louder than the Apple TV which means if someone was watching content on the Apple TV and had the volume set to a comfortable level and the next person to watch anything selects the TiVo, they're going to get blasted. Rucker really dug deep to confirm that there actually isn't a way to adjust input audio source levels on the C2. A soundbar would have the exact same problem. Some would say it's poor business to tell a customer something they were considering won't address their issue. I couldn't disagree more because to me, nothing is more valuable than trust and if you spent a lot of money on something and it didn't meet your expectations because a salesperson didn't give you a straight answer, you would probably agree. So huge shout out to Rucker for providing the full answer. Not spending money on a soundbar that wouldn't solve my issue is going to allow me to upgrade my car's front speakers in the not-too-distant future, and Rucker's advice on that was just as sound (no pun intended)! He understood what I was trying to do there as well, providing a great option!

I've been a long time customer of Crutchfield. I called today to get some new speakers for my older car. I had the pleasure of talking with Rucker. He is awesome! He was friendly, knowledgeable and extremely helpful. He made the process super easy. I wish I would not have waited so long to call and order my new speakers. I had spent hours and hours online at a different site. Within about 10 minutes, he had the perfect solution pulled up and sent it to my computer screen like magic! I'm super excited about getting my new speakers. Crutchfield specializes in DIY so I know I will be able to install them myself...with their help, of course. Rucker said the technicians will even help via phone video. I love Crutchfield! I am sure there are several great advisors, but If you are lucky, you will get Rucker as your advisor...I'll bet you can even request him directly for your next order. I sure will!

Wow, what a great experience. Crutchfield has wonderful customer service! I was having problems with Jaybird earbuds and their customer service only said it was a known issue, but there was nothing they could do. Rucker listened to the problem, very patiently, then arranged for me to return the earbuds to Crutchfield. He advised on which earbuds I should get to replace the Jaybirds.
