Paul Reed Smith founded PRS Guitars in 1985 in Annapolis, Maryland. Peter Frampton, Carlos Santana, and Alex Lifeson were early endorsees, and more recently, John Mayer. In 1996, PRS opened its Stevensville, Maryland plant where it builds all of its American-made models.

PRS's culture of innovation and fine craftsmanship helps ensure that every PRS instrument performs beautifully right out of the box. The company also produces highly regarded tube guitar amplifiers, effects pedals, and more.
