No brainer purchase

I almost installed my speakers using normal speaker wire I had in storage. I'm glad I didn't because the crutchfield speaker wires are so much better. The speaker sleeve is rubbery with just the right amount of slip/texture, are thick and easy to tell positive and negative apart, and they are oxygen free which provide excellent conductivity.

Pure copper

As always, Crutchfield is great. In the past year I have ordered two receivers, five Polk Audio speakers and five Klipsch reference premiere everything got delivered right on time. Everything worked. It was great. Have a company that you can depend on and as of the speaker wire was really good. You can tell it's pure copper and it's definitely 12 gauge but this is the first time my order ever got messed up. I ordered 10 gauge with banana plugs. Then I turned around and ordered 10 gauge again in the same day but I ended up getting 12 gauge and 10 gauge. Not a big deal. It still worked out for me because it's really really good speaker cable and I'll be definitely ordering 50 ft more for my sorrell speakers now that I know it's really good quality speaker cable

If you are running any kind of power to your Subs, and your not taking advantage of using 10 gauge wire from Crutchfield, your wasting your money, and the potential of your subs!!! I use Crutchfield 12 gauge for my Mid's & High's as well! I want a clean signal running to my speakers, and for the price point, Crutchfield is the best option, hands down!!

Great quality 14 ga. wire and insulation. Very flexible and lays flat. Easy to strip jacket. There was a faint chemical odor present initially from the 100 ft. bundle, but it was completely gone overnight. I would purchase this wire again. Excellent customer service and fast delivery.

Extremely soft and flexible cable makes it easy to route despite being 10 gauge overall. However, the individual wire strands are extremely thin and fragile, and not very tightly wound, which makes termination a little finicky.

Great Oxygen-Free Copper Wire

Great speaker wire - I used all Crutchfield wiring for my entire car installation from speaker wire to power & ground wiring. This 14-gauge wire seems very legit (100% oxygen-free copper), and seems very well made. The wire is thick, and the rubber surround is of high quality. It's also very flexible which is great for the twists and turns of installing in a car (the copper strands are very thin, probably to accommodate this flexibility)? The only issue I had with the copper strands being so thin is that during the splicing process, excess strands would sometimes get embedded in the carpet of my vehicle and were difficult to get out. But that's honestly the only 'con' I can think of.

Great speaker wire.

Very good feel to this cord, it is soft and easily hidden under molding around carpet. The supple cord is much easier to connect to speaker posts than the stiffer lamp cord style wire.

Better than buying a whole roll !

Came in a nice bundle ready to install. Great quality and feel to it. It is better to buy it by the foot, rather than buying an entire roll of speaker wire and only use a couple of feet. Save your money with this purchase.

14 Gauge Speaker Wire

14 Gauge speaker wire was perfect for my needs. However, I ordered 45 ft. of wire, but was sent 43 ft. 10 inches of wire. I did reach out to Crutchfield and the customer service was excellent. They offered to send me 10 more feet of wire, but I declined and stated I would work on my wiring first to see if I had enough. I thought I had built in enough of a fudge factor that I would still be okay. And, I was so all is good with my project.

Simple Stereo System with expansion capabilities.

We wanted a simple stereo system to replace our antiquated Sony Hi-Fi System. Yes it was old in excess of 24 years, it had a dual tape deck system!!!!!!. The Crutchfield representative asked us a few questions regarding music we listen to and what we were looking for in a system, he recommended the Polk ES20 speakers, the Yamaha Receiver R-N303, and the Yamaha CD-S303. The receiver was able to accommodate a turntable, did I say we were antiquated!!!! Got lots of vinyl in our collection. The system is unbelievable in sound and is simple to operate. In fact, we can upgrade to wireless speakers down the road, and it offers so much more that we may or may not utilize. The Crutchfield representative knew their systems and recommended a system that met our needs with no over selling. Kudos to the representative. This is the second system purchase from Crutchfield, we will be back................for the wireless speakers.

I didn't think there would be much variation in different brands of speaker wire. There is. This speaker wire from Crutchfield is softer and more flexible than my old speaker wire, making easier to work with. Functions well, also.

No instructions

The wire works great. The knocked stars are for the lack of instructions. I spoke to CS to place my order and they said I needed the wire and added it on. I did need the wire, however no instructions were given on what the wire was for. I had to call CS to get direction during my install. Turns out I needed to split the wire (only needed one side) and run it to my parking brake. It was a necessary item to make my stereo fully functioning.

I actually did buy it again

At 65 I've been running speaker wire for 45 years or so. One detail I appreciate about Crutchfield 10 gauge speaker wire is the jacket. It's easy to strip, losing minimal to no strands of copper. But even better, it's easy to split down the middle and separate. A little snip on the end of the channel and the wires easily pull apart to exactly where you need them to fit banana plugs or direct wire into a speaker terminal. And it's reasonably priced. My first order was enough for my LRC speakers and I ordered more to complete the Atmos installation.
