Q
I am getting interference with the Sony tv. Narrowed it down to HDMi cable and have heard RF-shielded HDMI cable can solve this issue. Is this cable RF-shielded? ThankS
kambiz  Aug 13, 2022
1 answer
A
Our information on this cable does not list any technology built into the cable to help keep out RF interference. AudioQuest HDMI cables typically do have specific technology built in to go beyond typical shielding to prevent more interference than shielding alone can block. You can find the current AudioQuest HDMI cables here: https://www.crutchfield.com/g_190250/HDMI-Cables.html?fa=1#&nvpair=FFBrand|AudioQuest

Q
Are these cables rated for in wall use?
william  Mar 24, 2022

A
I don't think so. There are no markings on the cable stock indicating that they are in-wall rated.
steve  Mar 24, 2022

Hi , they are low voltage cables . For this reason yes they can be ran through wall s . I have used them in wall coiled and underneath floor bored s . In my theater rooms I build this is the best cable I have found.
kent  Mar 24, 2022
A
Let me ask you this. Why would you want to do this knowing the cable has a male end on both sides? I guess I would think that if you were going to do something like that you would want something that is serviceable down the road because even the best hdmi cables go bad after years of use. And really in another few years every thing sold will be Bluetooth in my opinion and that will eliminate the need for any type of cables other than power supply.

Q
Are these cables certified?
patrick j  Mar 04, 2022

A
There is a certification sticker for the cables on the package. Certification is for the Premium HDMI 2.1 Cable. I have put three (six-foot length) to use and have no concerns with them. Good luck with your project. Jerry
