About the Bose Bass Module 700

Sound you can feel
Sound you can feel
I got to try the Bose Soundbar 700 on its own, and I was impressed with the amount of bass that slim sound bar could put out. But for the real lovers of rumble, Bose has created the Bass Module 700. In Bose's own words, “it's the difference between hearing bass and feeling thunder.” This bass module adds low-end impact to any model in Bose's Smart Soundbar lineup.

The Bose Bass Module 700 brings the thunder to your Soundbar 700 (sold separately).
Beautiful inside . . .
This subwoofer features QuietPort™ technology that aims to eliminate distortion while delivering powerful, dynamic bass. And if you run Bose's ADAPTiQ® room calibration system, the sound will be adjusted to suit the unique characteristics of your room. That way you get deep bass that's well-balanced, not overwhelming.
. . . and out
Even if you crave the bass, it can be hard to give up living room real estate for a big, ugly box. Bose knows this, and they've given the Bass Module 700 a sophisticated look with a premium glass top panel. It's also wireless, so it's easy to tuck neatly anywhere within reach of an AC outlet.

Features
Bose Bass Module 700: The Bose Bass Module 700 has been designed to perfectly complement the Bose Soundbar 700 and Sounbar 900 (both sold separately). It also works with the Bose Soundbar 300, Soundbar 500, SoundTouch 300 (all sold separately). If you desire even more bass, you can wirelessly connect two Bose Bass Module 700s to a compatible Bose Soundbar speaker.
Wireless Connectivity: It connects wirelessly to the Bose Soundbar 500/700/900 and the SoundTouch 300. It has a wireless range of approximately 30'. The Bose Music App (for Apple iOS 12.0+ and Android OS 6.0+) is used to wirelessly connect the Bose Soundbar 500, 700, or 900 to the Bose Bass Module 700. The SoundTouch 300's remote control is used to make a wireless connection between the soundbar and the Bass Module 700.
Hardwired Input: If for some reason a wired connection is preferred, the Bose Bass Module 700 and the Bose Soundbar 500, 700, or 900 can be hardwired together using a standard 3.5mm audio cable. This is a proprietary mono-minijack 3.5mm hardwired connection and cannot be utilized with other brands or models of soundbars.
Placement: For best sound quality, the Bose Bass Module 700 should be placed on the floor against the same wall as the television and soundbar, with an electrical outlet nearby for the power cord. It should not be placed on a shelf or table. For more bass, the Base Module 700 should be placed closer to walls and corners. For less bass, the Bass Module 700 should be pulled away from walls and corners.
AC Power: The wireless powered sub requires AC power and comes with a detachable 5' AC power cord.
ADAPTiQ Audio Room Calibration: After you have positioned the Bose Base Module 700 in your room, plugged it into an AC power outlet, and connected it to your Bose Soundbar 500/700 or SoundTouch 300, you'll use the ADAPTiQ (headset supplied with soundbar speaker) to auto calibrate the system.
Optional Wireless Surrounds: In addition to the Bose Bass Module 700 and for a fully immersive sound experience, add the Bose Surround Speakers (sold separately) to your Bose Soundbar 500, 700, or 900.

Been a loyal Bose fan for years. Decided to go with the Samsung 950 soundbar to match my Samsung TV. Soundbar was great but very weak bass response from subwoofer. Called to return, absolutely no hassle to exchange for Bose 700 system. Now I have a real subwoofer to rattle the windows!
