Upgrade to full surround sound

Bose OmniJewel Surround Speakers 700
Bose's feature-packed sound bars deliver much bigger sound than you might expect, considering their compact designs. But there is no substitute for the truly enveloping surround sound you get by adding a pair of rear speakers. These Surround Speakers 700 work seamlessly with Bose's Soundbar 500700, and 900 systems to deliver true wraparound sound effects.

How wireless are they?

These speakers receive audio signals wirelessly, but there are still a couple of cables to connect. You don't have to run any wires from the front to the back of your TV room, because the speakers link up wirelessly with your sound bar. They do that via the included wireless receiver modules, which must be connected to AC power. Then you attach the receiver modules to the left and right rear speakers with the included speaker wire.

Features

Bose Surround Speakers 700: For a fully immersive sound experience, add the Bose Surround Speakers 700 to the Bose Soundbar 500, Soundbar 700, Soundbar 900, or SoundTouch 300  (all sold separately). The Bose Surround Speakers 700 consist of two OmniJewel satellite speakers. Each of these tiny speakers features a carefully milled aluminum housing with two acoustic enclosures for dual-opposing drivers. This is the key to creating the first omni-directional speaker from Bose for true 360° sound and a more spacious home theater experience. Once connected, you have a premium surround setup to complement the powerful performance of your compatible Bose soundbar.

Note: Use the Bose Music app (for Apple iOS 12.0+ and Android OS 6.0+) to setup connection with the Soundbar 500, 700, or 900. Use the SoundTouch 300's remote control to setup its connection.

Wireless Receivers: Two wireless receivers accompany the Surround Speakers to facilitate a wireless connection to the Bose Soundbar 500, Soundbar 700, Soundbar 900, or SoundTouch 300; as well as amplification of the Surround Speakers. The wireless receivers comes with 20' proprietary speaker cables that connect to the Bose Surround Speakers 700 using the included speaker connector adapters which plug into the bottom of the surround speakers. The wireless receivers also come with detachable 5' AC power cords that will need to be plugged into an AC power outlet.

Note: The wireless receivers come preset to a left and right channel out of the box. You can use the switch on the front of the receivers to adjust the left and right channel settings (make sure that one wireless receiver always set to left and the other is set to right).

Mounting & Placement Options: With a wireless range of about 30' and standing less than 6" high, the Bose Surround Speakers 700 will blend nicely into your room. The speakers should be placed behind the main listening area, one on the left side and one on the right of the room, for optimum sound quality.

Notes: To avoid wireless interference, keep other wireless equipment 1' to 3' away from the wireless receivers. Place the speakers and wireless receivers outside and away from metal cabinets, other audio/video components and direct heat sources.

ADAPTiQ Audio Room Calibration: After you have positioned the Bose Surround Speakers 700 in your room, plugged them into an AC power outlet, and connected the speakers to your Bose soundbar speaker, you'll use the ADAPTiQ headset (supplied with the soundbar) to auto calibrate the system.

Optional Powered Subwoofer: In addition to the Bose Surround Speakers 700, you can add the Bose Bass Module 500 or Bass Module 700 (both sold separately) to a compatible Bose Soundbar 500/700/900 or SoundTouch 300 for deep, thunderous bass. Either Bass Module connects wirelessly to the soundbar speaker and has a wireless range of approximately 30'.

Customer Q&A

Q
Are these the same as/interchangeable with the OmniJewel speakers that come with the discontinued Lifestyle 650 system?
john  Jan 14, 2024
1 answer
A
These Bose Surround Speakers are not the same, though they appear similar John. These Bose Surround Speakers 700 are designed to pair with compatible Bose soundbars and would not work with the Bose Lifestyle 650 system.

can one extend speaker cord on the speaker side?

As far as I can tell this 70 year old 100% Disabled Viet Nam era 1972-76 Navy Vet says they can. Tom
tommy  Jan 09, 2022
A
I would think so.
randall  Jan 07, 2022
A
It sure what you are really asking. The cords are ample in length to extend on either side of our sofa on end tables (about 10 feet apart). These units are quite tiny but deliver nice surround sound ( they do not blast out, if they did you wouldn't hear the main sound bar)
francis  Jan 07, 2022
Q
how long is the speaker wire from the receiver to the speaker? And is that particular wire safe in a wall?
j  Nov 13, 2021
4 answers
A
Not sure if I understand you're question since these are wireless speakers. They have approximately a 12 foot cord and plug directly into a 110v outlet.
rick  Nov 14, 2021
A
They don't connect to the Soundbar/Reciever at all because they are semi wireless. They connect to a box which plugs in to a 120 volt outlet on one end and because the box is the signal receiver from the soundbar the speakers connect on the other end leaving you about 10 ft. of slack. But since I'm a Journeyman Electrician for 36 years I can't tell you to run it inside the wall because it's not rated for that. What you could do is sleeve the wire in wiremold and attach it to your base moulding. Good Luck, Fanophins
kevin  Nov 14, 2021
A
I its about eight foot or more don't about in the wall part.
david  Nov 13, 2021
A
It is wireless. You just plug them in and connect them to your soundbar or receiver through Wi-Fi. The sound is incredible
brian  Nov 13, 2021
Q
Can these be directly connected to an AVR? And if so do they have a center speaker that is not a soundbar?
james  Oct 15, 2021
3 answers
A
Mine are wireless via Bluetooth
paul r  Oct 15, 2021
A
No, they cannot be connected directly to an AVR. They are connected to a wireless adaptor that will only work with a compatible wireless capable Bose soundbar.
daniel  Oct 15, 2021
A
I'm sure you could connect them directly but they are sold with a wireless receiver which you would be paying for. I'm sure there would be better options. No other center speakers in this set.

charles l  Jan 24, 2020
A
Don't know if they are technically a better speaker but they are much smaller (tiny). They are the omni jewel speakers so there are a lot of mounting options also.

Q
do these work with the Bose Wave IV or do I have to have to Bose soundbar?
sheri  Dec 08, 2020
3 answers
A
I believe that you can only pair with smart soundbars
david  Dec 08, 2020
A
I wish I could be more helpful, but I can't say for sure. Wave IV uses SoundTouch and on the web site, it says that other speakers are compatible, but I don't know if the Wave system would process surround speakers the way a theater system does. Sorry I'm not more helpful.
terry  Dec 08, 2020
A
Yes you need to have a sound bar. It will sounds really good if you have this. Mine I enjoy having this especially that I spend most of my time at home.
