Good sound at a very good price point. Easy to set up and listen to. Originally purchased to go in small bedroom, I ended up swapping it to the den and putting the older soundbar in the bedroom.

great sound

It makes it possible to understand movie dialogue . The speakers on a smart TV are located in the back and sides muffling dialogue. The Bluetooth is simple to pair and use. I would have given it 5 stars except for the reason a window pops up on the screen asking if I want to connect it every time I turn on the television , this is annoying because I dont always need it. The speaker also pairs to other devices i.e. iPhone to play music and it sounds pretty good. There is a built in bass boot with adjustment.

Perfect for my needs

My new Samsung QN65S95D OLED TV (also from Crutchfield) is marvelous. But, like most modern TVs the flat, back-firing, speakers behind the merely 1/2" deep screen, casting directly toward the back wall, are terribly muffled by their location, as expected. Living in a small apartment, I did not want to annoy neighbors so I definitely did not need nor want a separate booming Subwoofer. In fact I had actually already given away my entire old Sony Home Theater setup to a friend who could make use of it. The modest built-in subwoofers of this powered sound bar are perfectly adequate if I ever wish to play movies with a full range of sound at louder volume than usual. But, I now more than ever needed a Sound Bar, particularly to enhance dialog especially when playing anything at low volume very late at night. The "Clear Voice" button on the remote was great for quickly and effectively enhancing dialog for basic broadcasts, streamed movies, and Blu Ray discs as well. Connection to the TV via the supplied HDMI eARC cable was easy and fast. No instructions were really needed. I did download the full Instructions as a PDF file, although the simple (included) booklet was all that was really necessary. For me an unexpected bonus was the excellent reduced price for this unit which happened to be on sale from Crutchfield at just the right time. This stand-alone powered sound bar turned out to be a perfect choice. I would recommend it to anyone with similar

Great, crisp sound

I have an LG OLED tv with very "tinny" and "muddy' speakers which I wanted to upgrade. It is not our primary tv so I wanted to keep the cost down. The Yamaha B30A has fit the bill perfectly so far. Especially in the clear voice mode, dialogue is crisp and easy to understand. in movie mode the sound bar produces a surround sound effect, which, while not the equal of my stereo set up on our main tv, is very enjoyable and significantly improves the audio effects in movies. Overall, this unit is just what I was looking for: improved sound at a reasonable cost.The unit was also super easy to set up up; basically just plug in and play. The fact that the unit was on sale made it even better.

Great soundbar at an affordable price

If you're looking for a soundbar with deep, clear sound at an affordable price look no further. Dialog is crisp/clear as I'm finding I no longer need to enable closed captioning. Bass is impactful without being boomy. No need for additional subwoofer (tv/soundbar is placed in home office, 12' x 12' room). Connecting the soundbar via ARC connector to Sony TV made pairing seamless. Kudos too to Crutchfield as I had found several days after purchasing the price had dropped. Thanks to their 60 day price-drop protection I called and was credited the price difference w/in a few hours. Fantastic product and Crutchfield service!

increased clarity for dialog

Very simple to install. One cable that is included plugs into HDMI port (eARC) on rear of TV. Great sound compared to the TV speakers and increased clarity for dialog in movies and shows.

Great for bedroom tv application

Very happy with it for my bedroom tv application. I have some mild hearing loss so dialogue was important to me. Separate sub was unnecessary for my application. Much better than the cheap soundbar I replaced.

Dissapointing packaging

Well....the soundbar was great but the packaging by Crutchfield was extremely poor. Quite frankly I am hesitant to place another order with them. A strip of tape across the top of the box and it was completely loose. There was zero effort put into the packaging. No quality control with packaging.

Such an improvement over my Samsung 65"TV sound. Really like the clear voice. I like adjusting the sound with the app. Plenty of bass for my taste. Loved the price.

Movie night here we come!

Great soundbar for the value. It makes the TV/movie experience much more enjoyable. I can hear the conversations clearly and it has enough bass for action movies and music. I believe this is the best soundbar at this price point.

Ok for a budget soundbar

This soundbar is "ok" for the money. I bought this to replace a Vizio, all-in-one, soundbar that was starting to give me issues when something loud would happen on TV. It would cut out and then come back on. Anyway, did some research and decided on this Yamaha. This soundbar is really "unimpressive" as it doesn't fill the room with sound like the Vizio did, unless I turn this one up higher than I ever had to with the Vizio. I initially had some issues getting Bluetooth connected to my phone to use the app, but finally got it to connect. The only reason to really use the app is to be able to adjust the bass and treble separately, that's it, everything else can be done with the remote. This sound bar does have Dolby Atmos, but good luck finding anything that actually broadcasts it. So far the only thing that does for me is my PS5 games. I do like the Clear Voice feature on this sound bar, I can hear the dialogue better on this than I could the Vizio. As others have said, it does have a "Bass Boost" mode, but sounds better with it left off, however at least you can add a powered subwoofer on this one. I know this is a Budget-level soundbar and it will work for my needs, but I was expecting it to be much better than the Vizio to be honest.

Great Deal

I have been using this for a few weeks now and so far I'm very pleased. I didn't have room for one with separate bass speakers but it has ample bass volume. I have had better sounding sound bars but cost twice as much, can't beat this one at this price point.

Very good quality mid-range/voice and general sound. The bass does not substitute for a sub, and the enhanced bass doesn't really help. In fact, it sounds better with it off. The general quality and improvement in the voice range is worth the money. However, I think I would spend more next time to get the system with a decent sub.

Mighty Mini

Bought this after getting some recommendations from the staff at Crutchfield. Also read the reviews. Was looking for something small with excellent clarity and some bass without the need for one of those huge sub woofer cabinets. Have limited space on my stand. Also I did not want something that knocks the walls down with unnecessary and intrusive bass. Was not looking to spend a lot. This has a great sound and a good bit of punch for a built in subwoofer. It has bass extension to increase the bass. I do not use. It has sufficient bass for me in the preset mode. Music, Sports, & TV shows sound great on here. This was very easy to setup and install. It even comes with and HDMI cable. No need to spend more for one. I have a 2024 LG tv. Recognized it easily and paired with my cable box remote, using the eARC HDMI port. Comes on and off with the remote, also adjusts the sound from one remote. No extra remote needed. It does come with a remote as well to select the various modes and options available on this Mighty Mini. Once you set those items only the TV /Cable Box remote is necessary for operation. The bar is solidly built and has great functionality. The indicator lights are not intrusive or distracting in any way. Great item I highly recommend.

Great simple solution for better sound

I always had Home Theater receiver and a bunch of speakers around living room. Bought a new Sony TV and didn't want to mess around with all that equipment. Just a simple setup with better all around d sound while watching TV. This Yamaha sound bar did the trick, it's not a killer system like a full HT system but it's so simple to use. Just connect High Speed HDMI cable to TV's ARC output and the power cord and the rest is done by the TV and soundbar. Nothing else to set up. Use TV remote only and enjoy way better sound than TV speakers.

This soundbar puts out good sound , the bass is good with the built in subwoofer. If you want thumping heart pounding bass you can add an external sub to the soundbar...but for most people including me this soundbar gives me everything I need , the clear voice mode on the remote works excellent...voices sound very clear. Very easy to hook up and at the price range this soundbar is in with good sound and the built in subwoofer it's a great deal I can highly recommend.

Good bass without a sub

Solid soundbar for TV and music. If you can't have a subwoofer, this soundbar produces some nice bass without one. It lacks some features that others have, like the ability to play music from a USB flash drive or integrated streaming, but it makes up for that in sound quality.

Very high quality sound

Well worth more than the price for a small room or office. I am quite picky about clarity, crispness, and clean bass and this has it all (using the clean voice and bass ext buttons). No subwoofer is needed as this is plenty. It also spreads the sound throughout the room - not just directed at you. Small enough just to set it on the window sill. I am amazed for the size and relatively low price. The BlueTooth eliminates another cable also.

Great sound and pounding base!

I recently purchased an 85" Sony tv. Although they have some of the best speakers in the industry, I thought that the tv needed some extra base. To my surprise, the mid and higher ranges sounded so much fuller and better sounding. What really blew me away was the base. I could hardly believe what came out of the 2- 3" woofers. It was amazing. The hookup was simple. The controls were east to understand. They even had a clear voice button to raise the voice level in certain movies. This is an excellent product and a clear winner. Believe me, you will not be dissatisified!

Great soundbar

I have always liked Yamaha products, so I decided to get the Yamaha SR-B30A soundbar.. I talked with Rachel, my service advisor.. She was so helpful and nice! She really knew her A/V products..She compared different soundbars, so I finally decided on the Yamaha..It came in a couple of days and was an easy setup.. And, the sound, was amazing! Yamaha has a subwoofer built-in and that sounds fantastic! I had a Sony soundbar for a few years, but it didn't sound that great and it had a subwoofer! Thank you Crutchfield and Rachel for providing top quality merchandise and excellent service..You all are second to none! Oh, and my next purchase will be a receiver, turntable and speakers, from Rachel ! Thank you so much! ( hope this isn't to long) Al

Yamaha Soundbar

First time buying from Cruthfield and everything went smoothly. I liked having a large selection of soundbars to choose from and I wanted a Yamaha because of a prior purchase from a now nonexsistant retailer.
