It's been several years since I had a home theater set up and when I did, it was a Denon. Loved the brand and came back to it. The set up was easy with onscreen menus through the TV. I had an issue with the HDMI but between the TV and the receiver onscreen help, I was able to diagnose that I needed to switch to a different input for eARC. So far sounds great. I love that I can stream directly from my phone through wifi.

Home Theater Back Up And Running

Easy set up compared to my Denon AVR 2802 that I had to replace after 23 years. Easy to understand controls and wonderful output. Had to change some of my connections to HDMI. Called customer service for help with the mobile app set up. I enjoy working with Crutchfield staff.
Pros: Easy setup since I have had a Denon prior to this one. Not the top of the line but my needs it sounds like a top of the line receiver.
Cons: More information or a guide for where to plug items in. Better information on set up Mobile Apps.

Great AVR

This has been a great purchase so far. Granted, I've only had it for a few weeks, but I do love all of its features compared to my old AVR (Denon AVR-S540BT).
Pros: Good sound for my space (15'x15' home office setup) The 2.1 HDMI is a great upgrade from the 2.0 HDMI passthrough I had before. Room correction is solid. Ability to hook it up to Google Assistant/Google Home Do not need to use the remote if the Denon app is on my mobile device.
Cons: I can't think of any so far.

Denon AVR-S770H

Needed to replace my old (16 years old) Sony receiver. Initially, I wasn't going to go with Denon because of no response from Denon factory last year when I was trying to help a relative with his older high end Denon receiver. Glad I decided to go with this AVR and Crutchfield. Extremely extremely happy with sound of this unit! I've purchased decent speakers over the years and figured that what I was getting with Sony was good but this blows it away. I also had a software issue with this unit and Rudy of Tech Support walked me thru the issue within 10-15 minutes. For years I've purchased my TV's and audio equipment from a national chain but anytime that I needed help, it was a hassle as it was "hit or miss" with product knowledge and support. Thank you Crutchfield.

Simple to set up, I bought this to replace a high end Onkyo in my brother's home. It has good menus, good performance, and it didn't break the bank! Only drawback was a lack of legacy support for component and composite video. My son is considering one to replace his older Marantz!

Exceptional sound

It is an exceptional upgrade to my previous AVR. The quality of sound it generates is amazing. Easy Wizard setup to get it going. More detailed settings can be setup as you use it more.
Pros: Audyssey sound enhancer for room for perfect speaker output. Ease of connections. Fast setup.
Cons: No standard DVD input for older dvd player/recorder. It took some work getting my DVR to function. It will play and record dvds. But will not play standard dvds as it did in the past. Probably codecs in older dvds. It will play VHS. A need as I still have many VHS camcorder to put into my DV camcorder to get into my computer for editing. Online manual has links where as the downloaded PDF requires frequent searches. I would much rather have a hard copy to use. My preference, however.

Features and reliability are great

Very happy with the features of this unit. Mostly that it will broadcast in Bluetooth. My husband has to use headphones so that was why we purchased this unit. Crutchfield is a great company to do business with.

The only design flaw I found was that I could not hook up my fiber to my center sound bar and subwoofer. I have not upgraded my component system in 250 years and just didn't know the right questions to ask. Should have called Crutchfied instead of the online chat... but the plan was to upgrade speakers at some point. Otherwise happy with my new Integrated Amp

Denon Avrs770h receiver

So far, so good. Took a little while to figure things out but it's finally working. I haven't had to call Crutchfield yet for assistance but I suspect I will be at some point. There are some things that I'll need a little handholding on but that's okay; I'm not proud. I have downloaded the user manual (all 283 pages of it!) and there are YouTube videos. For now, it's working and it sounds great!

Needs a simplified guide for receiver setup and operating procedures that an 80 year old who who is replacing a 35 year old receiver connecting to a 25 year old tv, blue ray, appleTV equipment can follow easily and the operate the receiver once everything is connected. I think I figured part of it out but it took several says (thank the Lord for old manuals).

Great receiver for the money and more! Delivers clear rich sound and enjoy having all Denon's in my home, makes life easier. I called Crutchfield to assist in the setup, specifically HEOS, they just deliver, (although the first tech either hung up on me or accidently disconnected our call). Been buying from Crutchfield for what seems like a few decades, thanks Crutchfield!

Denon AVR-S770H is a great receiver for the price. It handles my 7-1 surround system just fine, with plenty of base. Set up is the easiest I have ever experiences. It set up a really nice sound stage. I also love the layout of the controls, easy to understand, fits well in the hand, pause button high where it should be.
