Audio Section
High-Grade Audio Components: The Denon DNP-2000NE network audio preamplifier offers impeccable sound engineering with carefully selected and rigorously tested high-grade audio components. The DNP-200NE's analog and digital circuit boards are isolated from each other to provide purer playback sound, while an independent power line from the transformer protects the analog circuit from interference and noise. The network audio preamplifier's chassis is made of steel with a double-layer bottom plate, while the front-panel is constructed of aluminum. The rotary knob and buttons on the front-panel are also made of aluminum.
Quad DAC Configuration with Master Clock: The Denon DNP-2000NE employs four ES9018K2M Sabre32 Reference DACs (digital-to-analog converters) for outstanding sound reproduction. Using a quad DAC (digital-to-analog converter) configuration enables an improved, more powerful spatial expression of the soundstage, decreasing the low noise level and total harmonic distortion. A high-quality master clock ensure the DNP-2000NE's digital audio circuitry performs at its maximum potential, further enhancing sound accuracy and audio performance
Ultra AL32 Processing Plus: Denon's Ultra AL32 Processing Plus restores information that was lost during digital recording for a better audio experience. This unique data interpolation algorithm converts 16-bit audio signals to 32-bit and up-samples 44.1kHz sampling signals 16x to achieve smoother recreation of sound waves. Data interpolation is also used, predicting interpolation points from a large number of surrounding points to provide audio as close as possible to the original sound. This elaborate restoration of data lost during digital recording achieves fine, distortion-free rendering, accurate sound localizing, rich bass and recreation that is faithful to the original sound.
HDMI ARC (Audio Return Channel): The Denon DNP-2000NE network audio preamplifier offers a HDMI ARC jack for a simple, single-cable connection to your TV's HDMI ARC or eARC input. The DNP-2000NE's HDMI ARC jack also allows direct volume control from your television's remote control via HDMI-CEC (consumer electronic control). The HDMI ARC jack of the DNP-2000NE only supports 2ch PCM audio up to 24-bit/192kHz (it does not support Dolby Digital, DTS, or other multichannel surround formats).
Digital Audio Inputs/Outputs: The Denon DNP-2000NE outfitted with two optical (toslink) digital inputs and one coaxial (SPDIF) digital input for connecting your existing digital audio source components. The optical and coaxial digital inputs support 2ch PCM audio files up to 24-bit/192kHz (the optical/coaxial digital inputs do not support Dolby Digital, DTS, or other multichannel surround formats. The DNP-2000NE is also equipped with one optical (toslink) digital output and one coaxial (SPDIF) digital output. These digital outputs allow you to bypass the unit's internal DAC, if you have a higher quality external DAC or receiver/integrated amplifier with higher-quality DAC built-in.
Note: Digital audio output stops during playback of DSD audio signals and linear PCM signals with a sampling frequency of 352.8kHz or 384kHz from the USB-B input. Digital audio output also stops during playback of the DSD audio files via the USB-A port and Network connection.
Fixed & Variable Analog Outputs: The DNP-2000NE network audio preamplifier is outfitted with Fixed & Variable analog stereo RCA outputs. These Fixed & Variable stereo RCA outputs are used to connect directly to an AV or stereo receiver, powered or active speakers, and integrated or power amplifiers.
1/4" Headphone Jack: The Denon DNP-2000NE is equipped with a front-panel 1/4" headphone jack to connect your headphones for a more personal listening experience. This unit has a headphone gain control function with three levels (High/Mid/Low) that can be switched according to the characteristics of the connected headphones.
