Denon HEOS Amp

Allows me to easily join and play different or the same source as a Denon surround Heos receiver and Heos speakers. Amp is connecting several rooms of stereo pairs through a niles speaker selector using separate manual volume controls for hardwired in wall speakers. Wires were originally routed to a location far from the Denon surround system and this was the best alternative avoiding messy rewiring and wall repairs. Avoids using a separate receiver which would have taken a larger footprint and not been used for any other purpose than to drive stereo speakers.

Denon quality in a small package.

Excellent piece of tech that delivers Denon quality sound in a small, but powerful package. Extremely easy to setup. I connected to my home network via the Heos app and was up and running in minutes. These things are getting scarce. I recommend pulling the trigger if you've been waiting to purchase.

These were on back order forever, but I finally got them and it was well worth the wait! I wanted to replace my Amazon Echo amps with these and what a great replacement!! These amps are so much easier to use!!

The unit does what it's supposed to. I am using it wirelessly to power another set of speakers away from my Denon AVR. I dinged it a star because I know Denon is marking it way up (and it doesn't need to be this expensive). As usual, Crutchfield's sales transaction was smooth and they shipped it to me quick.

Disappointed

Couldn't set it up via Bluetooth, the included 3.5mm cable, or WiFi. The only way that worked was an ethernet cable attached directly to the router. Once I had it working, songs would stop playing in the middle, even with the cable. This unit looked great, but my experience was less than stellar. Granted, my issues may have to do with my network, firewall, etc. but I have since gotten a Sonos and had no issues.

It was a bit challenging to get this setup properly since some of the adjustable features were buried deep in the undocumented software. Otherwise, I have been delighted with its performance.

Perfect option for adding additional zones to the Denon receiver

This is the second one I've added to my system. It is SO easy to install and added the extra zone I needed for my poolside outdoor kitchen. I didn't install it outside due to high humidity in Florida. Instead I installed it in a room nearby and ran the speaker wires outside underground to the pavilion. It turns wired speakers into WiFi speakers. I purchased one two years ago for our master suite. It also has worked beautifully. These are a bit pricey, but both of them have been perfect for adding additional remote zones to my Denon receiver.

Demon HEOS amp delivers exactly what it needed

Works exactly as advertised and described. No need to turn it on when you want on demand music-just click what you want to listen to in the app and it bam...you got music! Sleek looking and powerful enough to power my 12 house speakers perfectly. Absolutely love this amp.

Great amplifier with ability to stream multiple different music sources including Pandora and Amazon music as well as others. Amp is fairly easy to setup with good instructions. HEOS app is easy to use.

Nice product, analogue to Sonos - Best to use ethernet over WiFi

Nice power and good sound quality when paired with quality speakers. Interface is much like the Sonos interface I have. The only issues I've had is that without a hard ethernet connection, the controller can be delayed or need to be reloaded. Best to have hard connection in to network.

We've had these working for a month now and they are incredible to say the least. We have 5 rooms and each controlled individually by an Amp which is controlled by our phones, or tablets. Excellent sound anywhere with different music in any room. I couldn't have designed this without the excellent help from the Crutchfield tech, thanks Curtis for your patience.

Good addition but doesn't fit into my needs

I can't complain about the function or sound. Easy to setup. Not compatible with Play Fi to do speaker groups on Spotify. (that's my fault as I have anthem and paradigm products) If it had Play Fi I could setup my outside speakers in a group. Not sure what I'm going to do with this thing as it doesn't fit into what I initially bought it for.

Great Product but....

Excellent product! Great design. We'll made. Connects with our IOS devices to access streaming media and control the units ooerations. One major negative is Apple''s streaming services and music content do not work on the unit. Not compatible. We use Apple TV to manage and deliver Apple content seperate from the HEOS.

Works exactly as described. Wifi reaches our pool shed so I decided to try this out. The app actually works great. Music is good quality but I'm waiting for my quality speakers to arrive before I can really determine the hifi. Very happy with purchase.

Great product. Music is crystal clear. Hardware is top notch and a step up compared to competition. Software is on par with competition and constantly improving. I tried all of the competing brands and found that HEOS is just a better overall solution for my needs.
