Looks good in the truck. Looks to mount up nicely it just don't use the factory mounting but that's fine.

Pros: Get to add more speakers

Cons: Have to rearrange things and make the mounting a little better

I have a light duty pickup with just the one bench seat and nothing but the back glass behind the seats, so rear speakers weren't really a viable option; So I saw the kick panel enclosures and thought "heck yea" before I really thought of the real life implications of what putting speakers right next to your feet would mean. I ordered them with a set of infinity 6 & 3/4 in component speakers and installed them the day they got delivered. Now don't get me wrong, the soundstage they deliver in that location is amazing, but as it says in the description, sometimes you have to bend the emergency brake pedal and relocate other things (in my case the computer). After a few days of enjoying the amazing sound they alowed my truck to deliver me, it snowed really heavy here in Jersey and I hopped in my truck with my boots loaded with snow, not even thinking of the speakers at my feet. After getting in and out of my truck all day with snow covered boots, the moisture soaked into the kick panel through the grills and shorted out my system. After looking for hours trying to figure out what happened, I found the problem. So I had to rip out my kick panels and now I was out of all that money I spent to purchase the speakers and the kick panels. I then ordered infinity's 4x6 speakers and mounted them in the dash. The soundstage isn't quiet as good but it's pretty darn close. So before you buy, make sure they will fit your lifestyle.

Pros: Impressive soundstage; easy to install, quality material, easy to alter

Cons: Not a "real life"/ practical location, uncut woofer and tweeter holes, too much hassle make roon for them

I had pondered whether or not to get the kick panels for a long time. I bought the Infinity Ref. 6 1/2 components and at first, had decided to just replace my Infinity coaxials in door. But I figured, I had an extra channel not being used on my Alpine 40 X 4, (50 at 2 ohm) amp and why not just get the kick panel enclosures. The only draw back is the cutting out the installation hole; unless you have a good power saw with an open end, you may end up like me; drilling small holes until it could be punched out! LOL But hey, it worked. I had absolutely no problem at all fitting them, the popped right in, if doing over, I'd find a skinny marking device to fit through the top installation screw hole, but just making it slightly bigger did the job. The sound is phenomenal, with the door speakers, (I have a separate Infinity tweeter custom mounted next to the coax and one in the sail panel), it alleviates the sub in the rear, highs up front problem. The speakers, as directed by the installation guide, have to hang a little under, so it's not a round, pop-in fit, but they look great; don't be discouraged before you're done. I will have kick-panel speakers mounted in every car/truck I ever own from now on, great product.
