Bought these because I had a pair 10 yrs ago for a different vehicle and they were real solid, molded, sealed enclosures that fit well. These fit real well but that is it. I had a pair of JL C5 3 way set's at first with the 4" loaded in these (6 !/2's in doors, tweets in dash) and installed in them in short order. I should have gone with my instincts though along with first impressions. These are not solid, in fact they are quite flimsy, have no back (supplied with a $.50 worth of fiber backing)- my experience suggested that they would have too much flex which may damage the driver under high power and drastically affect their sound quality. At 1st I thought maybe the 4"s did not have enough power rating (1 blew within days even though I was not near the rated pwr.). I sent the 3 ways back and exchanged for a pair of C5 5 1/4's and put 8's in the doors. Still the 5 1/4's sounded crappy so I fabricated new Kicks out of fiberglass and it was time well spent for the system came alive! Anyway $180 out on a couple of pieces of cheeap stamped thin plastic sheets later I conclude that if you want great sound you will have to take the time and build your own kicks or have your local shop handle it for you. I thought I would have saved some time (for this company used to sell great kicks in the past) but was wrong and it cost me! If you just need a place to put a driver powered by deck power than by all means these will suffice; however if you are an audiophile like me- Avoid these

Pros: Fit perfect Install easilly

Cons: cheap and flimsy Provided grills are a joke Expensive for not being an enclosure
