I almost didn't order these after after reading the other review. In the end I figured the other reviewer didn't know what he was doing. Boy was I wrong. There was nothing right about the installation. The instructions call for the wrong size pilot hole to drill, the lengths given for the spacers are wrong, the kick panels don't exactly line up (you'll need to to get out the dremel tool to fix this), not a single 6.5" grill I own would fit them, and following the instructions would have you shoot a screw through a wiring harness on one side and the ECM on the other. There's no way anyone from Q Logic ever has been in a 94 mustang. Custom kickpanels would have been easier! In addition, these will obliterate any up front bass you had and give you a nasty peak around 160 Hz. (Confirmed with RTA measurement.) I fixed this by adding a driver in the door to cover 80-300Hz and then send 300Hz and up to the kickpanels. However... You do get much better imaging and it fixed the problems with multiple door panel resonances that made every door speaker I tried sound bad. TLDR: You'll be cussing the whole time you are installing these, but if you install a woofer in the door to take care of the upper bass problems, the improvement in sound is worth it.

Pros: With a lot of extra work they sound great.

Cons: Installation is horrible. Blindly following the instructions would cause severe damage. Ruins upper bass. Impossible to find 6.5" grills that fit.

Installing these yourself is nearly impossible. I highly recommend taking them in to the pros.

Pros: Awesome sound quality.

Cons: Poorly engineered. The color doesn't match and they didn't fit as nicely as they should have for the price. If your car is a 5 speed manual the clutch gets in the way and your foot will hit the speaker. If it wasn't for the clearance issue I would have gave it 5 stars because the SQ is amazing.
