Excellent prefab enclosure
Adolfo from Fort Worth, TX on 8/16/2023
2006 Toyota Tundra
Installation was straightforward with no issues. Great Utilization of the limited space. Crutchfield has the lowest price available. Cheaper than other retailers and Qlogic's own store. Used 2 kicker compRs and they sound great! Will definitely recommend! Only took 30 minutes to prep and install. Recommend to preinstall wiring and subs.
Pros: Ease of installation. Still have rear seats. Looks factory.
Cons: None

Not an exact fit, but nice to have my back seat back.
Rebecca from Mission Viejo, CA on 6/5/2022
2002 Toyota Tundra
This is NOT an exact fit. It's close, but not nearly exact. I was only able to just barely get 2 front holes to line up. The rest I had to cut the plastic sub box in order to get it to fit. It's also not flush, so it makes the carpet bulge in the middle of the truck, near the hump in the middle. I can barely get the seat to lock down, but I can get it to lock with some extra energy when I push it down. So all-in-all, I'm pretty disappointed with the fit, but since there's really no other option I'm just happy to have my seat back. My truck's been taken off-road, but never been in an accident so I don't think it's ill-fitting because of body damage. YMMV. All that being said, I finally have my passenger seat back and the subs (two 8" Kicker 48CWRT84) sounds great with only one sub in! (I bought 2, but the 2nd one was only 2 Ohm so I'm waiting for the replacement to come in).
Pros: Gives you your back seat back. Still great sound w/ good subs.
Cons: Not an exact fit. 4 of 6 holes I had to re-cut into the box. Not flush, will raise your carpet a bit in places.

Speakerless in Seattle
Josh from Mount Vernon, WA on 3/17/2022

Looks nice as it's not really taking away from what little space the access cab has, still need all the speakers and amp to power the old tundra up and see if the box is all that.
Pros: Clean, hidden, space conserving.
Cons: I'm a dummy and thought it came with speakers.. Life as a dummy is the con.. Where is the line for brains?

Best option for subs in a first gen. Tundra.
Kevin from Hampton, VA on 3/6/2022
fit perfect. I was thinking it was expensive for what it is. It's worth every penny. It sounds great with the seat up or down. Easy to install. Tips: Start all the bolts to mount the enclosure first then tighten. Save the mat that was in the bottom of the original storage compartment put it inside the enclosure and put the sound dampening cloth on top of that. No buzzes or rattles.
Pros: can't even tell you have a sub enclosure from just looking inside.
Cons: None.

After years of having a large subwoofer strapped to the back seat on my 05 Tundra making it unusable for seating, I finally bought and added the Q-Customs sub encloser along with a couple JL Audio subs and I couldn't be happier. I should have done this years ago.
Pros: Gained my back seat use again
Cons: Nothing

Great box but needs some tweaking
Crutchfield customer from Gladstone, OR on 1/9/2022
2006 Toyota Tundra
I'm first going to say it sounds great! Took some work to get that sound but it's not hard. 1st Issue... is that the box didn't sit flush and holes didn't line up. I filled the gap between the box and metal frame with weather stripping. 2nd issue... the box is not 100% MDF (just the top of it that the speakers mount to). The box appeared to be MDF in the photos and covered in the black paint material. 3rd issue... since it's not MDF and just thin plastic, be sure to wrap the outside of the box in sound deadening material. Pack it around tight! Again, this box does have good sound quality, just needs some tweaking.
Pros: Sounds great, clean install, works awesome for the Tundra not having any room for a box.
Cons: Not 100% MDF, had to customize the fit a little, needs sound deadner (Dynomat etc...) installed all around the plastic box.

Fits well and sounds great, with a few caveats
Joseph from DURHAM, NC on 10/3/2021
2002 Toyota Tundra
Ready-made solution for delivering bass performance without visible components in this vehicle. Installation proceeded as expected. There were a few things that tripped me up: - the pictures in the provided installation instructions were poor quality and not really helpful for visualizing the written description - as was written in another review (and I did not fully understand until I hit the issue myself), the blade connections inside the enclosure for the speaker wire terminals are really difficult to reach. I eventually got them connected, but it was a very frustrating 5 minutes. Suggest removing the connector block and connecting the blade connections before fully installing the enclosure. - the MDF speaker mount platform did not take the smaller screws very well, and two of them spun first time I tried to screw them down. Some of the screws to attach the top frame onto the bottom, for me at least, are doing a lot of work. The speaker screws were better sized/pitched and seem to hold OK - the speaker mounting tape provided was awful - not sticky and straight (not curved). Also the MDF platform has felt on it, which is actually nice, but means that an airtight seal is probably going to be tough. I am also concerned about two things: - Can the back seat hold the weight of an adult and not bow down over time? - Can the enclosure iteslf hold passenger/cargo weight over time? How much? That said, this enclosure fits well and sou
Pros: - great fit (better than anything I could do) - comes with everything needed to install - excellent sound (I get about a 90 Hz resonance which I balanced with a 50 Hz boost from my amp)
Cons: - minor quality issues - some installation caveats (can be deal with, see text) - unknown long-term impact of adult weight on seat

Q Logic 2001 Toyota Tundra
Jason John from RENTON, WA on 4/10/2020
2001 Toyota Tundra
This Q Logic box is the simple answer for any novice wanting to bass in the incredibly non-spacious 2001 Toyota Tundra. This box is well made and has arrived sealed only missing your provided subs. Install was way easier than anticipated and this box is only real option without having to pay an audio ship stupid amounts of coin to custom build. I'd recommend this to anyone with the same make and model.
Pros: - Made for the make/ model. - Sealed - Comes with woofer mounting hardware. - Shipped to my door.
Cons: _ The $$$ is high, but I would have spent $$$+ building two boxes that sucked and then decided to go with this one. The lazy devil won this one.

Not perfect, but nicely made, fairly good instructions
Jason from ATLANTA, GA on 1/7/2020
2006 Toyota Tundra
I installed this in a 2006 Tundra Access Cab. It replaces the metal under-seat cage under the rear/passenger seat. You remove the cage totally, then bolt this into place. Main issue I had with this product was poor alignment, it definitely has tolerance issues, maybe due to variations in how Toyota applied the OEM sound deadener to the floor. I had to trim some OEM deadener out to get close enough to bolt 5 of the 6 bolts in. The bolt nearest the rear cab corner was super hard, the bolt at the back of the cab was impossible. I realized after-the-fact, you should remove the terminal cup and pre-wire for your subs BEFORE installation due to tight clearance with the seat and the cup screws. It's awkward to reach up/under and install spades without a mirror. That said, the box seems well-built, was well packed, and it fits a niche in the market nobody else is, it's really a great idea and looks good. The one point you may need to know to avoid headaches: The metal cage this enclosure replaces is where the OEM amp (if equipped) is mounted and wired. In my case, I was removing the amp entirely using the Metra 70-8121 kit Crutchfield supplied. Unfortunately, the plastic tray Toyota uses for the amp/speaker wire delivery isn't compatible with this box, requires some trimming. I pulled passenger seat and removed the cable tray, problem solved.
Pros: Unique design, looks good after install. Solid mounting surface for your subs. Well thought-out product.
Cons: Tolerances not ideal, expect to trim some and spend 20-30 minutes (minimum) just trying to get most of the bolt holes to line up. Bolt spacing isn't ideal, requires some finagling to get it bolted in. It's a bit on the thin-walled side compared to what JL uses on their Stealthboxes. The plastic cover that caps it all off seems a bit gimmicky and the two screws towards the rear of the truck are tough to install without a right-angle driver. Too bad nobody makes this for a single 10" or 12"!

A good solution
Caleb from Littleton, CO on 10/21/2018

FIT & FINISH - The mounting holes. I had to bore out several of them to be able bolt the box down securely. Not a big deal, but if you're someone who's tool arsenal consists of a screwdriver set, a crescent wrench, and some sockets, it may be a pain. All in all, if you're already down the path of undertaking a full system install on your own, I'm sure you'll be fine. After the install was complete, I was very pleased with the look of the finished product. I would recommend add your own thicker-gauged wire to the box internals. Also, the unit was not sent with all the appropriate hardware (according to the list of what's included). Kind of a bummer, but no biggie. Sound - I went with 2 - JL Audio 8" 8W1v3-4 pushed by a 250W Alpine amp. Now in my last car I had a ported JL 10" that pounded; big, boomy bass that you felt in your chest. I knew that 2 sealed 8s would be a different animal than I was used to - and it is. The bass is there, but it is tight and punchy. I will not be heard blocks away, which is fine - I built this current system for quality, not ridiculous boomy bass. That said, I was slightly underwhelmed by what was produced. Only slightly. I do not regret the purchase - at all. It sounds excellent, and scratched the itch I had for bass in the truck without sacrificing space. One more thing: consider guards for the woofers. If someone is seated above the woofers, the cushion WILL rub/press on the woofer surround as it flexes.
Pros: Tight, punchy bass without sacrificing passenger space. Impressive finished look.
Cons: Mediocre fitment (easy for most to overcome). If someone is seated above the woofers, the cushion WILL rub/press down upon the woofer surround as it flexes - consider guards.

RICK from Lynn Haven, FL on 1/8/2018
2003 Toyota Tundra
I was hesitant to buy this product due to having to modify the truck and such but I went for it anyways. Amazingly enough it was very simple and the modification was simply pulling the carpet back and unbolting a section under the seat and bolting in the enclosure in place. Got the carpet pulled back in place and trimmed the carpet up and installed the dress ring on top. It looks amazing and the 8" Polk Audio subs hit super hard. So glad I bought it and would recommend it to anyone.
Pros: EASY INSTALL, LOOKS GREAT, SOUNDS AWESOME.
Cons: HONESTLY NONE AT ALL.

Easy install looks like it was original factory equipment an amazing solution very well built would not hesitate to reccomended the product at all . I am beyond pleased I looked at so many options to add a subwoofer without compromising tear seat area ideally I wanted a 10 in subwoofer however with 2 8 in it has increased the bass I have a more rounded out song with some bottom end and punch
Pros: Ingenious way to add some punch n thump with out losing any meaningful space
Cons: Not really a complaint due to space but a single 10 inch sub would have a bit more impact however the space where this box has to be installed only allows for 2 8 in subs

Well Worth the Money and Cructhfield has the Best Price I've Found
Kevin from Glastonbury, CT on 4/2/2016
2003 Toyota Tundra
I've slowly but steadily been upgrading the sound in my 2003 Tundra thanks to the crew at Crutchfield. Started with new door speakers and tweeters...nice improvement. Replaced the head unit...another nice step in the right direction. Dynamatted the entire interior (two layers)...wow...huge difference. Now, I've installed a nice Clarion amp for the door speakers and a sweet Rockford Fosgate Punch 300x1 amp powering twin 8-inch JL 8W1v3-4's in this Q-Customs enclosure.....Wow...Wow...Wow.....those are the three first words that come to mind. I cannot believe how punchy the bass is....crystal clear and so sharp. More than enough bass to make me smile ear to ear. Absolutely thumps and sounds like a million bucks.
Pros: Simple installation. Well built enclosure. Hardware for installing subs included (screws). Super design...takes advantage of every last inch of space. I cannot say enough good stuff about this enclosure.
Cons: I wish I had done this years ago!!!!!!!!!! Never new this thing existed! Not really a con, but the enclosure also comes with a few short pieces of wire for connecting the subs to the enclosure terminals.....nice that they included it but most people will upgrade with their own high-end wire.

Loved that the enclosure was built for my 2001 Toyota Tundra and fit perfectly! It fit was great and final look was excellent. My 2 Rockford Fosgate shallow 8" subwoofers fit and sound excellent for something that is so small/thin and hidden under rear bench seat. Excellent solution for minimal visual change to the truck.
Pros: Easy Installation, Fit, Finish, Performance. Great look with the bench seat up. Great sound / thump with the seat up OR down.
Cons: Internal wiring: Wish the wires inside the enclosure was maybe a step up in gauge. I think I might be upgrading the internal wiring to larger gauge. It works but some what defeating when you run better quality and gauge all the way to the enclosure.

Q-Customs factory fit subwoofer enclosure
Crutchfield customer from Navarre, FL on 7/1/2013
This has to be the stealthiest subwoofer enclosure. Those of you that own a Tundra with the access cab know that there is no room for anything in the back much less people. This enclosure was easy to install and fits like a glove. It looks totally stock. I put two Kicker subs together with a sound ordinance amp and I'm blown away. The sound is incredible. It's not going to vibrate the neighborhood but the sound is awesome. I can't imagine a better sounding easier to install system. And it looks really clean.
Pros: Ease of installation. Fit and finish. Looks awesome with the seat up and sound great with the seat down.
Cons: None as of yet

Nice box. Poor connections
JoshN from Dallas, TX on 8/29/2012
2004 Toyota Tundra
The box went in without too much fuss. It's a good, direct replacement for the factory storage area that has to be removed. My problems came when I tried to connect and power on my amp and sub. All connections were completed and checked and double checked and redone, but I couldn't get any sound out of the subs. Finally, after isolating every component and connection throughout the system, I determined that the wiring in the box was the problem. One of the terminal connectors wasn't actually touching the wire that it was connected to, so I had to replace that connector. Also, the wiring inside the box is extremely thin. There's no point in running 14-16 ga. wire to the box and then dropping to 22 ga. once you get inside of the box. I'm going to have to replace all of that also. Once it's finished it will be nice, but be aware of possible quality issues with the wiring.
Pros: stealth, design, materials (other than wiring)
Cons: wiring

Pretty good for the only option available
Erich from Dallas, TX on 2/4/2008
It is the only stealth box out there (unless you have bucket seats- then go with the JL) but it is made of poor materials. The cheap and flimsy backing of this product does not produce amazing bass. It is good enough though. I had to drill out some of the plastic mounting holes that are supposed to align with the bolt holes vacated by the factory storage setup- so the production tolerances are not very tight. They use MDF board on JUST the baffle, so that is the only dense material used. The plastic used for the rest of the enclosure is thin- not dense at all, it feels like i could easily punch a hole through it and it would snap and crack like brittle plastic, one would think they would at least use something a little more pliable. In forums online there have even been reports of the plastic cracking with heavy and extended bass pounding. I put two Polk MOMO 8"s (200RMS each) with a 375 alpine mono sub. They do pound but my plan is: upgrade to a 450 or 500 RMS amp, and lay fiberglass inside the plastic tub to add density. I will keep ya'll posted on how this turns out. ALSO- it is completely not necessary to cut the carpet as directed in the instillation manual. You have an even more stock look by just leaving it in place, and placing speaker grills over the subs to protect the sub's suspension from rubbing the carpet after the seat is placed in it's down position. At first I thought it was all good but after checking the subs with the seat down (and no grills) I noticed some rubbing marks. So you can just get grills, or just slit the carpet about an inch into the two front corners so that it can fold under itself. You don't need the xtra trim ring supplied by Q- that way you can go back to stock if needed. To sum it up- for the price Q-Logic should have better build tolerances, and create a more dense enclosure. It was easy to install.

This box is Amazing. The quality is Excellent. I installed this box myself and ended up with a Custom Factory Fit just like the name says. It fit perfectly and it is Totally Stealth. I purchased this box, Two Fosgate Punch (Stage 1) 8" Woofers and a 150 Watt RMS 2-Channel Amp at the same time and received 10% off. This combination is a perfect match. The Bass from this box sounds like it has Woofers much Larger than 8". Adding this box to my stock radio and speakers has made the sound in my truck Awesome, and for a low cost. I have seen people spend a lot more money on other subwoofer systems and they don't get the Solid Tight Bass like this Q-Logic. They also don't get the Invisible look either. Thank You Q-Logic for making this Enclosure, it is worth every penny I paid for it.
