All the parts of a great-sounding speaker must work together to make your car audio system sound great. MB Quart's Discus DK2-168 5"x7" / 6"x8" 2-way car speakers are a great example. From the woofer to the tweeter, this speaker is built to perform.

A responsive woofer

This speaker's lightweight polypropylene cone responds quickly when you turn up the volume, minimizing distortion and supplying smooth lower and midrange frequencies. The butyl rubber surround lets the cone move freely for maximum response, and it's bonded to the cone with a high-temperature adhesive that'll hold up over the long haul.

Crisp highs

An inverted-dome aluminum tweeter supplies the high frequencies. The light but strong aluminum dome keeps its shape and responds quickly, so you'll hear those small details in your music, while the inverted dome design provides excellent dispersion of the highs throughout your car. An integrated crossover flawlessly separates the highs from the lows for a clean transition from woofer to tweeter.

These speakers handle up to 50 watts RMS, so they're a great match for both aftermarket car stereos and amplified systems.

Grilles are not included; the factory grilles should be suitable for most applications.
