The mounting kit is just fine and no issues. the speakers themselves are below average at best. No bass, all mids and they honestly sound pretty weak with the Heigh10 system. The stock system honestly sounded better and had more bass. I'd recommend just hte mounting kit and get some other speakers as these are not what you are looking for.

Great project

This is a great product. Installation was easy and straightforward. You will need an additional saw as a dremel is not big enough to cut all the OEM housing away. Still it took less than 2 hours to complete. The speaker made a huge difference and improvement to the overall sound of the jeeps system.

Disappointed in the sound quality. I've had other 6x9 speakers that sound way better. Wasted my money imo.

What a let-down. Lots of work for a 5 percent improvement over stock speakers and no bass. My aftermarket 3" dash speakers blow these away. Installation instructions are online at the MB Quart website. If you decide to get the kit, give yourself 4 hours to install and use the speaker mounting plates as a template. Once you are finished cutting, triple check using the template to make sure you cat back enough.
Pros: The plastic speaker covers fit and look great.
Cons: 4 hour hassle to install and clean up the bits of plastic everywhere. Really, no better than stock when you are done. Mostly a mid-range speaker.

Almost 5 stars, but no instructions and no template. Sounds good, I'm sure if I add a sub and Amp, it would sound better! Kinda pricey...eh...

Sound is really pretty good considering I'm using stock 7 inch head unit.
Pros: Sounds way better than stock speakers.
Cons: Definitely need a a rotary cutting tool for installing. Took a little bit of time. But worth it in the end.

Would skip the speaker, but 6x9 conversion kit is good.

Well worth it, if you are handy with wiring. If installed per instructions, you end up with the woofer channel running the 6x9 and the tweeter channel unused. This eliminates virtually all highs, unacceptable. Ibwas ready to return the entire kit I was so underwhelmed. Instead, I cut the tweeter lines and added a quick connect harness to split the tweeter and woofer on the speaker. 5 extra minutes. World of difference. Much louder than stock alpine and no distortion at top end. Honestly, I think the alpine setup had better sound quality, but I wanted more volume and no distortion. If I did it again, I would buy the MBquart 6x9 conversion kit and a better 6x9 to install. Will still need to split the wiring, but it is what it is. MBquart, if you read this, make the 6x9 dual channel quick connect using stock harnesses. I would pay the extra 10 bucks it would take.
Pros: Conversion kit
Cons: OEM amp is dual channel to each side, 6x9 only uses one, leaving out all the highs. Had to split the wiring on the speaker itself.

2021 Jeep Wrangler Willys Soundbar Upgrade - Bummer!
Jason from Flower Mound, TX on 6/25/2021
2021 Jeep Wrangler
This was the most disappointing speaker upgrade I have done since the early 90's. "Maybe" a 5-10% improvement in sound quality in the soundbar of a 2021 Jeep Wrangler Willys. The cutting/modding was easy, as I have been installing audio for a long time, but maaaaan what a disappointment. I would be upset if I paid $75 for these. This price is a crime for the plastic casing, cheap paper speakers.
Pros: Comes with wire harness.
Cons: Sound. Cheap. Have to download directions. Price.

Awesome Speakers!

Huge difference in sound quality and level of bass! Very pleased with the overall improved sound and well worth the expense and effort to install. The cutting is a bit tricky but really not that difficult if you take your time. So impressed I ordered the matching dash speakers as well!
Pros: Improved sound at all levels, especially bass.
Cons: Some minor cutting it fit but not too difficult.
