Factory Jeep look with fully loaded sound

The small speakers in the stock Jeep Wrangler and Gladiator soundbar seriously limit sound quality with the top off or windows down. When you're ready to upgrade, MB Quart JC-169 6x9 speakers are the obvious choice. These Jeep-tuned speakers fit in the rear soundbar of the Jeep Gladiator JT and Wrangler JL. With some concealed modifications to the back of the soundbar, you can achieve a factory look that retains the OEM grille and MAP light, but with much better sound.

These speakers retain the factory look of your Jeep.

Minor mods, factory appearance

You'll need to remove the factory soundbar and trim plastic from the back to install these larger speakers. MB Quart provides clear instructions and a mounting template to make marking your cuts easy. The OEM grille fits the speakers, and they come with an OEM wiring harness for simple installation. The metal mounting plate is powder-coated for protection from the elements.

Big sound upgrade

With 1-inch magnesium dome tweeters, an ultra-lightweight paper cone infused with mica, and a removable phase lens to reduce interference, the MB Quart JC-169 delivers an impressive upgrade. The frequency response expands to 45Hz–23kHz, opening a new range of sound for your Jeep. Rated at 110 watts RMS, they're best powered by an aftermarket amplifier; otherwise, they may sound a bit quiet. And who wants that?

Features

Overview: This MB Quart speaker package includes 2-way 6x9 speakers and grille/brackets specifically designed to replace the factory speakers in the roll bar of select Jeep JL series Wranglers and JT series Gladiators.

Note: Installation requires cutting and modifying the factory speaker mounting surface; the factory speakers CANNOT be reinstalled after modifications have been performed.

Basket: The speakers feature PA66 composite (plastic) baskets, reinforced with 30% glass fiber.

Tweeter Phase Lens: The phase lens can be removed from the front of the tweeter, narrowing its dispersion pattern. This is useful when the tweeter is pointed directly at the primary listener.

Mounting: The 6x9 speakers are pre-mounted in the new grilles and the map lights are removed from the factory grilles and installed in the MB Quart grilles. Once the modifications are made to the factory speaker housings, the new grille/speaker assemblies are installed using the factory screws (from the factory grilles).
