Marine, Display, & Installation Features

Marine Grade Protection with Life Shield: The MB Quart MDR2.0 digital media receiver meets or exceeds IPX5 requirements for water and dust protection, making it ideal for marine or off-road environments. Rest assured, when you see the MB Quart Life Shield icon, you are choosing a product that is engineered to the highest standards and built to last.

High-Contrast Display: The MB Quart MDR2.0 features a high contrast display that allows easy viewing and control. Regardless of full sun or shade, the display is clearly visible. The front-panel LCD will display source and menu selections, as well as song/artist/album information (no album art) from USB, iPod/iPhone, and Bluetooth devices.

Mounting Options: The compact chassis of the MDR2.0 offers greater installation flexibility and placement options because of its shallow depth, so it fits well in nearly any recreational vehicle's dashboard - motorcycle, UTV/ATV, or watercraft. The MB Quart MDR2.0 requires a rectangular cutout and mounts to the dash or bulkhead with four screws (not included) through the front-panel of the receiver.

  • Cutout Dimensions: 7.035" (w) x 2.015" (h) x 4.755" (d)
  • Front-Panel Dimensions: 7.595" (w) x 2.365" (h) x 0.8125"
  • Screw-Hole Spacing: 7.25" (w) x 1.25" (h) x 1.0"

Note: Even though the MB Quart MDR2.0 has a Single-DIN chassis, it is not designed to work in standard Single-DIN automotive openings because it lacks a mounting sleeve and removable trim-ring; plus mounts with four screws (not included) through the front-panel of the receiver.

The MB Quart website says the MDR 2.0 has a weather band and comes with a remote control. Are either of these true for the unit sold through Crutchfield? Thanks.
[ JIM H  Mar 28, 2021 ]

A
Never tried/checked weatherband. There is no included remote. I dont remember if there is a hook-up for one either, i think you can add an external gauge sized one, but it has been a year since my install. You may be able to check the MB Quart page for a user manual to get a better Idea.
[ RYAN  Apr 12, 2021 ]

No remote control came with mine. I haven't tried to find a weather band. I use mine on my Harley as a Bluetooth receiver. I play pandora, that's all I do. If I want the weather, I ask Google.
