Marine & Motorsports Rated: The MB Quart Nautic NH2-116 speaker carries an IPX67 rating and has been tested to the highest marine and motorsports standards for protection against sun fade, fresh/salt water spray as well as dust and sand.

1" Titanium Horn-Loaded Dome Tweeter: The MB Quart Nautic NH2-116 features a 1" titanium dome, horn-loaded tweeter for very smooth musical response, high output with minimal required amplifier power.

• Coincident Mounted Compression Horn: In addition to increasing efficiency, the coincidentally mounted woofer and tweeter create a single point source with a unified magnetic structure, allowing all musical energy across the frequency band to come from a single focal point within the transducer. This improves the directionality of the speaker system.
• Wavelength Transparent Acoustic Lens: The size and spacing of the perforations in the waveguide (part of the grille) are engineered to allow midrange frequencies to pass through, while remaining firm to guide the high frequency waves from the compression horn tweeter to improve SPL and the sound stage. This technology also eliminates shadowing, which can occur with high SPL standard cones.

6.5" Composite Poly Cone Woofer: The water resistant 6.5" composite polypropylene cone with temperature stable Butyl rubber surround is mounted on a lightweight composite frame. The polypropylene control and natural Butyl Rubber surround remains musical in all weather conditions and does not stiffen in the cold. Composite ABS and glass fiber add strength to the frame without adding distortions or harmonics that can affect the tonal quality of the speaker.

• High Temperature Copper: Voice Coil. The woofer's voice coil is a high temperature copper, wound on a Kapton former which allows the voice coil to handle more power while remaining light in weight.
• Water Resistant Spider: The 6.5" woofer employs a water resistant, woven fiber composite spider to stabilize the cone and voice coil in all musical situations.
• Vented System: Front and rear venting allows air passage through the spider and back plate to exchange air over the voice coil.
• High Energy Magnet: A high energy Y30 strontium ferrite magnet assembly is used for higher output with minimal amplifier power.

Marine Certified Crossover: A Conformal Coated, Butterworth 12dB per octave crossover with PTC (Positive Thermal Coefficient) tweeter protection provides smooth transition from high to lower frequencies that remain musical and not harsh or distorted.

Interchangeable Grilles: You choose between black, silver, or white grilles to match your application and suit your preference.
