Strong and sturdy to hold a McIntosh amp which are tanks.
Pros: Strong, sturdy, and customized for the Sanus AV rack. Put this one on because it can hold up to 80 lbs.
Cons: Make sure to look at the accessories. If you have a Sanus rack, have extra screws is extremely helpful and convenient.

I bought this to go with the CFR 1620. It comes with 2 shelves (CASH21, CASH22). I added this which I have my big receiver on. This was very well built and since I added it to the bottom, it sits on the whole frame, front and back. It was probably overkill for my use, but very happy to have it. One point of concern, If I had used it higher in the shelf, it would just be held by 4 screws and rear suspended. I am sure the engineering that went into it makes it fine, and the build quality on the shelf and rack are both excellent. But why didn't they design it so it goes all the way to the back and transfers the weight down evenly over the 4 posts on the rack, as oppose to leaving all the forces on the 4 screws and the front 2 posts on the rack?

Order this for A/V Receivers

This supports 80lbs and is the deepest of the Sanus branded shelves. This will accommodate higher quality receivers that are heavier. Even though smaller shelves such as the CASH22 will support 50lbs, I would not recommend pushing the weight limit on shelves so getting the larger/stronger shelf such as this is a smart choice.
