I'm trying to hang a 35lb golf simulator from a metal I-Beam down threw a drop celling. It will need to extend 2' below the drop celling and will be 2' from I-beam to the top of the I-beam. I was wondering what size of pipe diamater will the pipe therads hold. are the threads NPT threads? Thanks

Greetings Shawn, and thank you for your question. The Chief CMA395 uses the NPT standards, 1.5 inch diameter pipe. They do offer a 24-36 adjustable column for that mount, part number 051CMS0203.

Would this work for mounting a 50mm stripper pole to the ceiling ?

That is not what this is intended for. I do not believe it would be structurally sound enough to support the weight of an adult person. I would not recommend it.

Do these work for ceiling fans? Is there a place for the wire to go through

I would not use this with a ceiling fan. Extension Rods for fans are quite a bit smaller in diameter than this. You also need to hang the fan from a fan box to conceal the electrical connections. The good news is, those are usually a lot cheaper than this bracket.
