Overview: The Sanus SA-OWSP42 is an on-wall surge protector with 4 AC outlets and 2 USB ports. This low-profile surge protector simply plugs into a standard single-gang wall outlet, and provides an easy way to protect your electronic devices from damaging electrical surges and spikes. The four outlets can rotate up to 90° to maintain a shallow profile, while allowing you to plug in larger plugs without blocking other outlets. The SA-OWSP42 has an antique white body with beige edge and back panels. The SA-OWSP42 carries a 5-year, $25,000 Connected Equipment Manufacturer Warranty.

Rotating Outlets: The On-Wall Surge Protector has four standard AC outlets, each on a swivel that can rotate up to 90° to reduce plug clutter. Large "wall wart" AC adapter plugs can, many times, obscure adjacent plugs, making them unusable. Rotating the outlets move them to the side of the surge protector, and provides the space to plug in larger AC plugs. Rotating the outlets to the side also helps to maintain the device's low (1-3/4") profile, allowing it to fit behind wall-mounted TVs or behind wall-hugging cabinets and furniture.

Surge Protection: The Sanus On-Wall Surge Protector keeps your electronic devices safe from devastating power surges caused by lightning or power outages. Its advanced internal components, including X3 Fire-proof MOV (Metal Oxide Varistor) technology, provide up to 1080 joules of surge protection with a maximum spike current rating of 72,000A or 6 KV (6000 volts). The device can attenuate an electrical spike up to 40dB, and has a Clamping Voltage (or Voltage Protection Rating) of 500 volts. When the Surge Protector is operating properly and prevents an energy surge from damaging electrical equipment, the surge protective component will disconnect from the circuit, and the product will need to be replaced. The surge protector has an LED near the outlets that glows to indicate when your plugged-in devices are protected.

EMI/RFI Filtering: In addition to protecting your devices from power surges and lightning strikes, the SA-OWSP42 filters out EMI (electromagnetic interference) and RFI (radio frequency interference). EMI and RFI can adversely affect the performance of your electronic devices, including your A/V equipment. The Surge Protector filters out unwanted EMI/RFI noise between 150 kHz and 100 MHz.

USB Charging Ports: Two front-facing USB-A ports provide handy fast charging for your smartphone, tablet, laptop, or other electronic devices. With a 5-volt 2.4-amp total output, your devices charge faster than with typical 5-volt 1-amp charging ports. The USB ports also protect your devices from damaging spikes and surges while they are being charged.

Installation: The On-Wall Surge Protector is a current tap that simply plugs into a standard, single-gang wall outlet, without removing the wall plate. If you wish to move the surge protector frequently, you can leave the original wall plate screw in place. For a more permanent installation, you can use the long mounting screw (included) to secure the surge protector to the wall and prevent accidental disconnects. After removing the screw holding the cover plate, you can plug in the surge protector into the outlet, leaving the original cover plate in place, and secure the unit using the longer screw.

Connected Equipment Damage Limited Warranty: The On-Wall Surge Protector features a 5-year, $25,000 Connected Equipment Damage limited warranty. If a properly-connected piece of equipment is damaged by an energy surge, Legrand (Sanus' parent company) will, at its discretion, provide you with a replacement, pay for repair, or pay the fair market value of the connected equipment, up to $25,000.
